1. Information about the special "Best of the Best" Balagokulam magazine issue We are very proud and happy to complete three years of Balagokulam Magazine in print. It would not have been possible without your support and love, without children's participation and enthusiasm to be at this stage. We hope that you would continue to support us, give us feedback on every aspect of the magazine. Your feedback and suggestions inspire us to do better for every issue.

 

Balagokulam is a project of Hindu SwayamSevak Sangh and this year is the the birth centenary of Shri Guruji, the second sar-sanghchalak, i.e. head, of Sangh. On this occasion and to celebrate the completion of three of Balagokulam Magazine in print, we has come with a "best of the best" issue of Balagokulam Magazine. This issue contains selected articles and competition entries from the previous 12 issues. It also contains special articles written by youth on Shri Guruji. This special issue is priced for $1 per issue which can be purchased at various (more than 100) balagokulam centers across US. Or you can order it is a set of ten issues for $11 at http://www.balagokulam.org/bgmag/special2006.php.

This issue can be a nice gift on a child's birthday or special functions.

2. Special contest announcement for children and parents

We are also conducting special contests for various age groups. We are giving cash prizes (in form of gift cards) along with new improved medals as well as new certificates. We are also giving a nice postcard size picture of Bharat Mata to every participant . Special Contest for Parents : Essay: Balagokulam is not just a children's activity. (Limit 300 words).

Age Group 7 and below:

Artwork - Any painting or a sketch

Story - "Why I am (or became) happy (limit 200 words)

Age Group 8-10:

Artwork - Any painting or a sketch

Story - - "Why I am (or became) happy (limit 200 words)

Poem - Any original poem. (Limit 14 lines)

Age Group 11-13 & 14-16:

Artwork - Painting/sketch related to India or Hinduism

Story - "How I learned Ramayana" or "How I prepared for KBRE" (limit 350 words)

Essay - "My dream" (limit 350 words)

Poem - "Any original poem" (limit 14 lines)
