Sri Krishnam Raju garu,

Namaskaramulu.

For a devout Hindu, both *The* *Ramayana and The Mahabharata* are

*NOT*"Mythological tales or Mythology or Mythological stories".

*They are "Itihasas", meaning "This is how it happened". A Part of the

History of our Bharata Varsha.*

*Permit me to offer meanings of the words Mythology and Myths:*

Mythology is a word coined by the white christist cabal, the East India

Company and the Brits who ravaged our country and encouraged

christism with

intention to inflict damage to Sanatana Dharma and to the native

wisdom,

Religious faiths and culture of our Bharatiyas.

As an example, to use the words myth and mythology appropriately in a

sentence, we can say that:

Jesus is a myth and Bible is Mythology.

There is enough evidence to prove this. But that is not the subject matter

of my letter to you so I shall keep it reserved for another day.

*The Oxford English Dictionary says that Mythology is:*

1. A collection of myths

2. A set of widely held but exaggerated or fictitious stories or beliefs

3. the study of myths.

*Now, as the Executive officer of one of the most worshipped mandirs,

please

tell me whether you consider The Ramayana as "Itihasa"

or "Mythology"?*

**

I want you to go through the official website of the Mandir, *carefully,

this time:*

* *

www.bhadrachalarama.org

A) Right on your home page, *there is a statement of doubt, of disbelief:*

http://www.bhadrachalarama.org

/index.html<http://www.bhadrachalarama.org/index.html>

QUOTE

*It is said* *that* Sri Rama appeared in a dream to a woman called

Pokala

Dammakka and informed her of the existence of *idols* on Bhadragiri

Hills.

To her surprise she found the *idols* on Bhadragiri Hills.

UNQUOTE

Why can't you just delete - *it is said that ??? *And simply write that Sri

Rama appeared in a dream to a woman called ....... etc.,

And why do you want to use the word *idol? Can't we use the word

Vigraha/Murthy ?*

**

B) http://www.bhadrachalarama.org/temple-history.htm

QUOTE

According to a *legend, *the significance of this shrine dates back to the

Ramayana Era.

UNQUOTE

*Legend* means: a traditional story popularly regarded as historical *but

which is not authenticated*.

*Do you as the E.O of the Mandir, believe that Ramayana is a story or a

historical fact? - an "Itihasa" - meaning "This is how it happened"?*

*If you consider Ramayana as a story, as mythology and not Itihasa,

you have

no business to continue as the E.O of the most revered Mandir, the

Bhadrachalam Rama Mandir.*

*C) **Here is a very serious bloomer:*

QUOTE

This coherent hill place existed in 'Dandakaranya' of Ramayana Period

where

Rama with his consort Sita and brother Lakshmana had spent their

vanavasa -

and Parnashaala (the place connected to the famous Golden Deer

where *Ravana

was supposed to have abducted Sita* from)

*What do you mean, "supposed to have abducted"? Do you believe that

Ramayana

was "Itihasa" or Macaulay Mythology? *

****

*Why don't you simply redraft it to read:*

.....the place from where Sita was abducted by Ravana.

*D) Some more objectionable material on the Mandir's website:*

http://www.bhadrachalarama.org/temple-history.htm

QUOTE

The Temple itself is an *incongruous admixture* of *another story* which

depicts the *exigency* of "Sri Maha Vishnu" to manifest himself as

Rama

again to the mortal coil - long after Ramavatara. *According to the story,

*it

was to fulfill his promise to his Bhakta Bhadra, a sage who had been

continuing the *freightened penance *to get the grace of Lord Rama.

UNQUOTE

Incongruous means - "out of place" and admixture means "mix with

something

else". Exigency means "urgent need or demand".

*freightened penance? - What do you mean by that, Mr E.O garu?*

**

*freightened* means- being afraid (who was this Rishi afraid of?)

*Penance* means

1) Voluntary self-punishment expressing repentance for wrong doing

2) A sacrament in which a member of church confesses sins to a priest

and is

given absolution

3. A religious duty imposed as par of this sacrament

Please understand that the christist word Penance is *NOT EQUAL IN

MEANING*to the word -

*Tapasya or Tapas*

**

*Therefore, please re-draft the whole passage to read:*

**

It is at this Mandir site that, long after Ramavatara, Bhagawan

Mahavishnu

manifested Himself as Rama again to fulfil a promise He made to His

Bhakta

Bhadra, who continued his Tapas through Yugas, praying for the grace

of the

Bhagawan Sri Ramachandra murthy.

END OF SUGGETED TEXT

*E) It appears that the team that worked on the website content does not

have any faith in our Intihasas or Puranas. It is time these websites are

freed from the interference of Macaulay-putra/putri/pautris. I fail to

understand why our Mandir websites should be managed by people who

have

scant respect and perhaps umbilical aversion for our great treasures, the

Itihasas and the Puranas. *

*F)* And then there is a sub-head that reads: *Saint Bhadra*

*Saint* Bhadra? Why dont you use the word Maharishi Bhadra or Rishi

Bhadra?

*G)* Some do's and some don'ts:

Do please replace the word - *Idol*, wherever it appears to read as

*Vigraha

or Murthy*

In the same page, do remove the word *story. *These are not stories,

they

are part of our history.

Do not have us read secular text on religious sites.

*H)* SUGGESTED TEXT

Bhagawan Rama told Dhammakka that at a later date, one of his

devotees would

construct a Mandir at this site. Dhammakka waited patiently for the

devotee.

The devotee turned out to be Bhakta Ramadas.

END OF SUGGESTED TEXT

*I) Now on to the Fairs and Festivals page:*

http://www.bhadrachalarama.org/festivals.htm

Under the caption: Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavams the website talks

about the

Sita Rama Kalyanam as a *"fairy festival"* :

QUOTE

This *fairy* festival is celebrated in a *pomp show* amid chanting hymns

by

priests in richly engraved and *mythologically

sculpted*Kalyanamandapam.......

UNQUOTE

Please let me know if Ramayana is a fairy tale? And the *"Divine

Wedding"*of Sita Ma with Bhagawan Rama is a

*"fairy festival"?*

Should this *fairy festival *not be replaced by *This divine festival *is

celebrated............

**

*J) Pomp* can mean - ceremony and splendid display, *It can also

mean vain

and boastful display.*

**

*Why don't we simply redraft it to read - *

This divine festival is celebrated in a *resplendent* manner amid chanting

of hyms by priests....

(resplendent means - attractive and impressive through being richly

colourful or sumptuous)

*K)* Now, what do you mean by* mythologically sculpted

Kalyanamandapam?*

**

*Why don't you replace it with - exquisite sculptures depicting events

from

our Itihasas and Puranas?*

*L)* Under the section: *Visiting Places:*

http://www.bhadrachalarama.org/visiting-places.htm

QUOTE:

According to *Mythological story, *an ardent devotee, Sabari, gave

shelter

to Sri Sita Rama Lakshamanulu ......

UNQUOTE

*There you go again, Mr E.O.*

*TAIL PIECE*

**

There are many more such areas that need immediate correction. I am

tired

and angry at this lack of sensitivity.

**

*For the sake of Bhagawan Rama, let us leave the words - idol, myth,

mythology, mythological stories, Saint, Penance etc., for NDA-NCERT,

Arjun

Singh, the decaying carrots, brinda and prakash and a score of anti-

Hindu

CMs like your and my CM, anti-Hindu historians Irfan Habib-Romila

Thapars,

the JNU bred-buttered and biscuited-commies; and get along with our

Mandirs

the way we Hindus should. *

*I am totally disappointed that the website of even our Mandirs do not

respect Hindu Dharma and continue with rabid exhibition of

Mark-Mullah-Marx-Macaulay Maniacal syndrome (simply put the 4M

syndrome), a

serious disease that has numbed the Hindu mind for generations. *

Let us get this 4M out of our system and start being Hindus.

Namaskaramulu,

S V Badri

Chennai
