Guest guest
Dear all, I have to give credit to good men also whom I met. Three years ago when my father was on death bed after me, my mother and my sister and brother all having consulted various astrologers, I happened to remember a old magazine of Shri KN Raos publications where reference to a Yogi Shri Karve living in Bombay was mentioned. I contacted him on phone, he gave me appointment. I reached the day of appointment amongst 200 people who were prsent there my number came after 8 hours of waiting luckily, this man (Must say Gods man) who does not ask for a penny, just asked my name and date of birth and just after 2 minutes closing his eyes blurted out my whole horoscope without having seen it,and gave his verdict that nothing will happen to Your father for at least next three years, which has come out to be true. Since he is not avaliable in India for 6-8months and the trouble to meet him is not my cup of tea, unless emergency, I did not try to meet him further. Also one Grihasta man I know in Bikaner Shri Ghanyshyamji Joshi (Brahmin), who too does not ask for money, is also superb in predicting with or without horoscopes. He will write on a piece of paper all major what has happened in Your life along with present problems,a three digit number, ask you to keep this in pocket and then after 10 minutes ask You to check, the paper and the 3 digit number which the querent has given which will be the same as mentioned in the paper alongwith other details true to core in life of querent. But then these both people are not ordinary. They spent most of the night and early mornings in meditation to have developed such great intuitions and living a moral and righteous life as prescribed in the vedas. Another gentleman who seems to be ordinary and simple apparently who is staying here in Bombay who predicts even to the day and minute using Nakshatra padhati,(I will not mention his name as he is busy and his appointment diary is always full till next two months and does not want to be troubled) is also great astrologer. Plus few more, but some other day............. So good people too are there in this line, we cannot afford to be cynical........ regards/Bhaskar. Guest guest
Hi Bhaskarji and all friends, Talking about the good people, I would like to mention the name of Shri Suresh Shrimali. He comes on Sab TV and other tv channels too. Although he asks for money for predictions but i have found in him that he really has some kind of intuition and shakti which God has bestowed upon him. He is really great. bhaskar_jyotish <bhaskar_jyotish (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Dear all, I have to give credit to good men also whom I met. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji, No, we are not cynical. Good astrologers are less in numbers and surprisingly, almost in each city - we may find some good astrologer. But by the time, one happens to reach them, most people ends up losing so much of money / energy to incompetent ones. I know many, who are excellent in terms of predictions. But most of them do not choose to predict for day to day worldly issues. They certainly guide when some fatalistic events are to take place. But the other lot, which is in great number - spoils the career, marital life and so many things by then. Perhaps, this is also the part of our destiny. regards / Prafulla Gang Of all the thing I have lost in my life . . . Guest guest
Dear Prafullaji, Certainly. Any criticsm which ultimately reveals the weaknesses in any personality or system, brings awareness, which if taken in positive vein makes the way for improvement of the personality and system. The first criticism should come from within (Our own selves with feeling of our incompleteness),next from family members (Members of the Forum)and next from the outsiders (Natives who are wounded by wrong astro-predictions & remedies). this when taken positively gives us cause or reasons for introspection, so that we may be aware and try to remove the dark shades associated, and only project the brighter & true status next time to people coming in contact, and also continous development is effected in our systems and ways of prognosis. regards/Bhaskar. , Prafulla Gang <jyotish wrote: > > Criticism is not necessarily a negative practice. Guest guest
dear contributors, the thread started with inefficiency, lethargy, poor work culture and people who seek astrology to do miracles rather than hard work and currently contributions made by very good astrologers who are having the divine's blessing and they are different from subjective astrologers. At this juncture I would like to highlight in our country with a huge population how many go to astrologers it will be a minority proportion because 60% of the population dont have access to good food, water & shelter. Now coming to work culture, there are excellent committed workers at all levels and there are very bad workers where they dont have honesty in there dictionary. One thing I would like to bring to ur notice is all of us reach the work spot under extreme hostile infrastructure,ur energy is totally spent by travelling in a crowded bus, train etc. very few can afford a/c chauffer driven cars. In western countries this is not the case, their environment is excellent mother nature has blessed them with good surroundings and healthy air. So it is easy to say that Indians are inefficient, u should test the efficiency of a westerner if he is asked to work using the hostile infrastructre present in our country. So let us not label ourselves as inefficient or lazy. the paradoxical situation in our country huge wealth is concenterated in the hands of the few. I have a marwari chartered accountant friend who is now doing buisness other than accountancy, he used to tell me that in his place Rajasthan there is a fertile belt and a dry belt, in the fertile belt he says even the villagers will have gold and silver articles locked up in a rusted trunk box which will be kept in the loft and is passsed on to generations after generations and in the towns wealthy people will be holding gold only in kilograms. this is just an idle wealth not put to productive use neither it is disclosed to the govt, this situation prevails even in punjab. So whom should we blame the ineffecient work culture of the masses or these wealthy hoarders? with good wishes, k.gopu
Guest guest
Dear Gopu, While appreciating Your retrospection on Westerners working in Indian atmospheres in the same given situation and able to produce, would be a question mark, I beg to differ about Marwari hoarders. The Marwadi clan is among the few people who are contributing largest to the Government treasuries.,in form of taxes. Period. Some gold and silver (No one has in Kilograms) .is normally kept by all families of all castes and creeds (Indians), and passed on from one generation to another without utilising it, in the sense of selling the gold and enjoying the money. This is due to the inherent quality in Rajasthanis (And all other self respecting people and families), not to use the ancestors property, but to create own. The Gold and silver is again kept as security to the women folk in case any calamity fall on the working hands ie. breadwinner, this same gold will help the others left to survive. It is their ancestors hard earned money so we cannot eye whether they hoard or put in fire.It is not our earnings donated to them. If the people are from village that means most of them would not be knowing about wealth tax. So we shall excuse them.. And do not the same villagers form a bulk of the army jawans protecting our country and us city folks from foreign invasions ? How many of us citizens staying in cities go and join the army ? Gopuji I am not from village neither does my family have kilograms of gold, so I am not siding them, just wrote what I felt. regards, Bhaskar. , K Gopu <kgopu_24 wrote: > > dear contributors, > the thread started with inefficiency, lethargy, poor > work culture and people who seek astrology to do > miracles rather than hard work and currently > contributions made by very good astrologers who are > having the divine's blessing and they are different > from subjective astrologers. Guest guest
dear shri bhaskar, I am extremely sorry, u have taken the contents of my mail as a personal observation towardsu, i have reflected what my marwari friend(chartered accountant) has told me. ur right, idle wealth is not confined to one state it is there throught the country maybe the proportion may differ because we Indians follow a good tradition to keep something in case of an emergency. Once again I reiterate that my mail is not against any one community or religion. I have great respect to Rajasthanis there contribution to education eg BITS pilani is one of the world'd best institutions. with good wishes, k.gopu
Guest guest
Dear Gopu, Dont feel at all dear. I know You never meant to hurt anyone. You are innocent,in fact most of us are, when we say or write in a wave of emotions ,sometimes some words or sentences do appear to be different, without any intentions targeted to some certain section, which actually is not the case by the writer. And we should always otherwise too give benefit of doubts to others, and do this many times over,if we have to keep relations at all dear. Its very hard to make and continue cordial or affectionate relations, which this platform is providing us naturally, while very easy to break this relation which is also provided continously by our EGOs, the constructive purpose and value of astrology would also be one,if this Ego is sublimated, so as to always allow our fellow men to be one up., on us,or equal, but not below us in any manner. Gopu bindaas aap likhte rahiye ham bhi counter argue karte rahenga, but see that this does not come in between good relations with each other. You are the mirror, which provides me the space to see myself. How can we blacken the mirror. It is supposed to be always clean and we would not have it otherwise by rubbing ......on it. Guest guest
Dear Gopu ji We are inefficient and want to blame the "hostile" infrastructure. Why is infrastructure hostile? Becuase of inefficency and dishonesty..and partly for people's acceptance to living / thinking practices. This is a vicious cycle. People in villages follow astrologers for most of their worldly issues (marriages, finances, land / property issues etc). Each one follow for their concerns. and we(majority of population) end up leaving major decision making on the astro advise (irrespective of astrologer's background in terms of competence etc). The remedial measures (including totkas) are equally practised in villages. Your concern for Marwaris not sharing their wealth. Who shares their personal wealth with outsider? This communist / saddist thinking, makes the matter worse. The wealth with Marwaris are their own earned wealth..what they do with it, should not be anyone's concern. Yes, if they have not paid taxes, then IT department must perform their obligations. But whether that wealth is employed productively or remain dormant, is not anybody's business. Sir, In my view - the problem exists in our race (habbits, attitudes, living patterns, thinking, environment) and moves further into the system. Unless, individuals are able to work honestly and efficiently, system can never be!!! regards / Prafulla Gang Of all the thing I have lost in my life . . . Guest guest
Dear Shri Kumar ji Yes, corruption compounds the problem.
