Do we need to have cable to get Amrita TV in the

states?

Have not watched TV for something like 5 years now, so

I am not hip at all to how things work around it.

I believe you need some sort of special satellite dish, through Globecast TV.

(Try looking up Amrita TV or Globecast.)

You need a satellite dish and a working knowledge of

Malayalam.. though a few Amrita TV programs have

English subtitles.

It's changed a bit since the days when there were only

12 channels (2 to 13), and three over-the-air networks

ABC, CBS and NBC, received with a rooftop antenna or

rabbit ears.

Not all, at least not yet. They have "Prime Time USA"

slots, that usually starts at 4:00pm PST everyday,

where the programs are subtitled in English.

AUM NAMAH SHIVAYA !!!

We are getting Amrita tv through internet. You may

goto www.streambox.tv and sign up. It is 10$/month.

their technical support is not so great. Last few days

there was technical problems. If you dont like

internet you can use dish and it is available along

with ASIANET malayalam channel.

their contact info is

http://www.asianetusa.tv/contact.asp

The programs in Amrita tv are of very good quality and

high standard. However only a few programs have

English subtitles.
