Guest guest
Hello to all, What a mixed day for me. This evening I am talking with my mom. She has been sick off and on the past couple of years-keeps getting pancreatitis from one of her meds we suspect. Now she has a precancerous tumor on her pancreas. I realize this is not the best news! So please keep her in your prayers. I am so glad she has met Amma and took a mantra even at her first Devi Bhava. That is so awesome and is currently the only respite I have in the middle of my mind that wants to worry about something it has no control over..... My girlfriend saw Amma for the first time this year. She lost her daughter last year. Usually she would talk quite a bit but I noticed after seeing Amma, she had become unusually quieter. Some of my other Satsang members asked her how she liked her hug. She smiled and said she felt it was really "different." Then we saw she had bought a big Amma calendar for her wall. She called me to let me know more about her first experience with Amma. We were unable to stay for Devi Bhava (more on all that later). I had sent an article about someone who met Amma and she was incredibly excited. She said "THAT was exactly what I experienced! The smell that was everywhere...how it felt being around Her..it was exactly the SAME!" I am realizing she did not know how to put her experience into words but someone else did for her. I guess this is part of the value of our sharing these stories! She continued on, she was at her grief group and she wanted to save her story about Amma for last since she felt they would want to hear all about it. It turns out one lady in the group knew all about Amma and was apparently a devotee! The leader of the group was especially interested and wanted Her name and website. Everyone else hung onto her every word and wanted to know more. My friend said she is definitely going to see Amma again. Next time we will be staying for Devi Bhava!!! On another note, I went to the doctor. I have had excrutiating pain my back from an accident. Amma had given me some sacred ash that created a lot of healing. I even had some days after using this of ZERO pain. I shared this story with the nurse. I told her about getting this ash and how I see this hugging Indian lady every year. She asked me "Is it the lady they call the Hugging Saint?" I told her yes it was! She said she saw a story about Her on the History channel or somewhere-not sure where. She is extremely interested in seeing Amma and would like some books to read about her. I promised to bring her a book the next time I go in. Wow Amma! in Amma, Adriane
