Guest guest
Would anyone be interested in helping to put together a collection of recipes from the on-line Satsang to offer to Mother? Favorite dishes we like to make while thinking of her -- variations, for example, of kheer, payasam, and halwa. And we could trade them with each other to test and offer alternatives and substitutions. Other offerings might be artwork, some of the lovely prayers and sayings that sometimes grace the tables at the san ramon MAC, special mantras or bhajans that make it nicer to chop vegetables or wash dishes or pick up after messy teenagers. Little stories about the grace of the Mother who ripens the mangoes... And what **are** Mother's favorite foods? I know some of us live in places where there are satsangs that organize "Mother's Kitchen," and perhaps there are favorite recipes from there. Maybe we could get specific specialties from Jamba Juice, Annapurna's kitchen, ashram specialties, etc. I have never been able to get the cookbook offering that is available at the bookstore -- can anyone review it? Just an idea of some other book I could do instead of my dissertation I guess! We used to have one at the Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Center in San Francisco, oh 15+ years ago now, and it was a nice way to bring a little of the ashram energy home to my kitchen. loveprashanti
Guest guest
That's a great idea! I've often wondered if there's some reason why MA Center doesn't publish a cookbook of recipes that they use on tour and from the bake/snack/juice shops. (I wondered this when I was wishing I had their salad dressing recipes! =) Hee, you know, I think you mean "Amba Juice," not "Jamba Juice!" ;-D Blessings, Iswari Ammachi, "prashanti68" <prashanti68 wrote: > > Would anyone be interested in helping to put together a collection of > recipes from the on-line Satsang to offer to Mother?
