Om Amriteswaryai Namah!

I just wanted to say how nice it was to meet some of you on the Tour this year. So many people came up and introduced themselves, including people that never post. Thank you for all the nice comments. Some of you I saw from a distance as well, but I couldn't come and say hi because of how busy I was at those times. Namah Shivaya to you anyway. Some I missed, like Tom Gull. I wanted Raj to point him out at the D.C. programs, but he wouldn't. Oh well...

Sorry I missed Keval in Toronto. I wonder if we met and didn't know each other?

I was blessed to do the whole tour except for Seattle, where I worked, and a little more than one day of the public programs in Alburquerque. It was a very sweet and incredible Tour. I finally feel recovered except that I am missing Amma fiercely. The longer I tour at a stretch, the harder I find I crash afterwards. But that is where sadhana kicks in.

Bowing to you all.

Jai Maa!

Om Amriteswaryai Namah!

It was nice finally meeting you in person at San

Ramon. Really enjoyed your singing at LA DB,

especially "Shivaya Parameshwaraya". You gave a unique

twist to it.

Possibly.. though I had a "Amma - Toronto 2006" name

tag on me, as did most of the host satsang.

Surya, I confess I saw someone a few times who I thought might be you, but I wasn't sure!

Feeling silly for not asking,

Thank you. That is very sweet of you to say. I just do my best to follow Amma's example, but fall dramatically short! But I keep trying, as do so many.

Thank you for your sweet comment as well. I just tried to stay "in the Bhav". I just pictured myself submerged in Maa Gangaji at Haridwar. I couldn't tell if it sounded good, but it sure felt good and it seemed at least some people liked it from the comments I received after.

Kevalji,

No one could miss those name tags. I guess we didn't meet. Did you help out with the holy water distribution or with people moving at Amma's meal on the retreat? I ran both of those. I take it you did not do any line positions at the public programs. I was busy with other things during the retreat, so I barely did any other line there.

Maybe next year. Toronto was an interesting experience.

On another note, I don't think that Amma ate a meal at the restaurant mentioned. I am not sure She even ate anything there. She did sample all of Her food at Her meal though. Very nice woman.

Thanks for your nice words. I am only sorry that I missed you garlanding mother with your very unique mala made of skulls. I was glad we go to meet and talk briefly. I knew you right away. How could I have spaced on your garland! Well NYC was very intense and there was a great deal going on--that's for sure!

If you're talking about Raj Pooleri, he has too much class to

participate in your funny business... Besides, I don't remember

seeing the Pooleri's, so I probably wasn't there when they were and

vice versa.

I don't know Raj and Padmini's last name, though he told me next time he would point you out. It was more about your funny business than about mine. I just wanted to have Your Esteemed Darshan, so all my bad karma could get washed away. I mean Amma's Darshan and Tom Gull in the same day? What more could one want?!

He also told me there was no major division in the D.C. Satsang. It was just about one guy...you. We discussed this when I saw him in San Ramon. I was glad to have the record set straight by someone who really is in the position to know--being the main D.C. program coordinators. Ken echoed the same.

Maybe next time....

> Dear Tom,

When you say the statement below about "your funny

business", my impression is that we should just focus

on being with Ammachi and doing our Seva, without

anyone noticing us in anyway.

It is kind of like the stern yogic stance. I know what

you are speaking of, as I found myself feeling

confused as to how to react to certain situations as

well.

If you have read the book Daughter of Fire, Whenever

Irina Tweedie would go to visit her Reverend Guru

(Satguru) everyone there was in deep meditation around

him. And few would strike up trivial conversation

around him.

Around Amma, I feel like being in mediation, but it is

amazing, the level of commotion going on.

I was fortunate enough to go to three cities this

year, and I found myself slowly being able to open up

to the friendship there as well and to the beautiful

souls I was able to meet.

During the Boston retreat, I found myself singing

along to the Rocketts song.."One singular sensation

every little step she takes". After such seriousness,

it was hard to loosen up....

With Amma, there is probably a balance to strike here,

where we can enjoy our fellow travelers, have a bit of

fun and fall in Love with God.

When back home, and in regular life.....it is so hard

to feel like you fit in to this reality..there is

always that tension....that we need to be disciplined

and stay on track....or get pulled into the waves of

Maya....

It was nice to get away from life for a few a little

while and just laugh and enjoy the beauty of humans

from diverse quarters sharing a moment with one

another.

You can't consider it division if the members leave, which is what

people do. You see, politics only covers you in worldly life, not

the reality of spiritual life. But most don't understand this.

Ouch. I shudder to think what Amma would say were she to enter our forum during these sibling jousts. Can't we all just get along?

I can see your point--that if members leave period (which to me means do not join or start another satsang), then I guess you can say its not divided. But people come and go at Satsang all the time, for all kinds of reasons. Can't please everyone with one flavor. That's okay. Others can get together informally if they don't want to start an official satsang. In my opinion, the more mature spiritual aspirants, that are interested in being part of Amma's Satsang, learn to adapt. Mother mentions these types of statments all the time and brought up the subject of different satsangs regularly on the Tour.

Sounds like you are a regular member of R.A., which is why you are able to recommend it so highly to others. At least you are finally getting help. ;-)

Let me just clarify what I said regarding what Mother regularly says. She calls Her ashrams Kurukshetra--the battlefield in the Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata. She says that She takes the rough, jagged edges of Her devotees and grinds them together to make smooth stones.

Also She mentioned regularly on the Tour, how in some places the Tamils, Malayalis, Westerners, etc, prefer to stay within their own groups rather than mix in others satsangs.

So I am sure this goes for people with Sai Baba backgrounds as well. They are used to a particular flavor and prefer it that way.
