Lord Krishna gave commandments to his brother Balram - II

MIL/AKRIPH, Aug 1, 2006. Swamy Raj Baldev

On getting orders from Jarasandha, all commanders of their most

expert and trained Infantry units surrounded Krishna from all sides

but what they were terribly shocked to see that they were themselves

surrounded by Krishna everywhere.

They were looking at Krishna standing on thousands of chariots

simultaneously. They had never seen such a person having thousands of

his faces sitting on thousands of his chaiorts.

They were confused. The senior commanders gave another order to

launch attack on all chariots where Krishna was seen standing and

kill him. Another voice of Jarasandha came repeating the

order, "Attack Krishna on all chariots surrounding them. Don't be

worried of his tricks."

On receiving that order, the Infantrymen started attacking all

chariots of Krishna blindly hoping that at least one of them would be

actual Krishna. In fact, they were their own infantrymen where the

reflection of Krishna was shedding.

Under the shadow of hallucination, Jarasandha's entire infantry

killed their own men, animals with great speed and used their

equipment against their own fighters unknowingly.

They actually attacked Krishna, but they were their own Infantrymen.

It was Krishna's Maya, which they could not withstand and their own

men decimated the entire infantry just in three hours.

On the other hand, Krishna's maya was observed on Balram's chariot,

which was automatically raised high in the sky, roaming over the big

Army of Jarasandha. The army men were looking above attractively to

observe the miracle. That was their first such experience to observe

such a miracle.

Balram's chariot was reflecting a strong beam light even during

daytime, and his chariot was also multiplied into thousands. The rays

released from beam of chariot made the infantry men to go temporarily

blind.

The Army men of Jarasandha could not identify against whom and how

they were fighting under the strong influence of beam, but the fierce

fight was on, the beam -light made all the army men dead fighting

against each other. The entire wing, which was falling on the side

of Balram, was killed. The battle was over in just about three hours.

Jarsandha became helpless, all army gone, he was arrested and brought

before Krishna.

Krishna said, " Respected Jarasandha, I excuse you and set you free

to mend yourself and go way. I give you l7 chances to fight.

Jarasandha was so much ashamed but since he was a crooked person, he

went away and in fact, he launched 17 attacks on Mathura but to no

avail.

After the battle was over, both chariots came together at one

place. Krishna asked Balram to get out of his chariot with care

putting his right foot first to step down and go away at some

distance from it. Balram followed His instructions.

As soon as Balram got out of the chariot, just after about a few

seconds, Krishna gave some signal with his right hand and both the

chariots disappeared along with their original drivers.

Balram asked Krishna surprisingly, "I have not been able to use my

club even once but how all the soldiers were killed?" Our Armymen

also did not get a chance even to shoot an arrow in whole of the

battle, but how has it happened? Will you explain to me?"

Krishna said, " Forget about it, let us direct our selected Army

units first to complete the formality of collecting the useful

material of Jarasandha's dead soldiers from the battlefield before

the Sun set."

Krishna asked His soldiers to collect all ornaments, jewels and other

booty from the battlefield so that the same could be presented to

King Urgrasena of Mathura, his grandfather, for depositing it in the

treasury of Mathura.

Krishna also asked the commanders of Mathura Army to collect the

important weapons of the dead soldiers and warriors of Jarasandha and

deposit them in the armory for their use.

In accordance with the Vedic custom, the people took yogurt mixed

with fresh green grass and strewed it here and there to make the

victory jubilation even more promising. As Krishna and Balram passed

through the streets, all ladies regarded Him with eyes bright with

great affection.
