Guest guest
Dear Modern Parents, I have received a jyotish reading request from an 11 year old child today, via internet. It has disturbed me, as a parent! Hence I share this widely!! Please don't feel helpless and paralysed and take control of your responsibilities. If an eleven year old child seeks a jyotish reading (unless the request is not from a eleven year old!!) and gives his full postal address so trustingly -- this tells me: It is beautiful soul that is reaching out desperately, but randomly! It is a sliver of God that has not been taught internet-smarts! The above two facts, without mincing words, scare me, worry me as a parent, as an adult that knows and hears and witnesses what goes on on this mayajaal called internet! Please take interest in your children who are this young and protect them! They may not run into Uncle RR but someone a lot worse the next time, and reveal a lot of information that they should not have had to if you PARENTS and well-wishers were on the ball! PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!! RR
Guest guest
dear RRji while appreciating your open request to all parents to spare time for thier children in understanding their needs, i wish to highlight the reasons which make the children approach others (other than parents) for counselling or guidance: 1. if the child feels he/she is neglected by the parents. 2. if the child finds both the parents are busy in their offices (more than 12 hours work) and hardly have any time to speak with. 3. if the child is afraid of backlash or scolding/beating from the parents if he/she speaks the heart to confess the mistakes or seek guidance. 4. if the child is doing something wrong and the consciousness warns that the parents will not support but still want to experiment these bad things which the child feel like doing. there is only one solution for all the above. the parents have to devote a portion of time daily for the children and demonstrate that they care and exhibit forgiveness and compassion so that the child fearlessly confess any mistake if done. this is the reason why so many festivals are celebrated at home and various poojas and visits to temples organised so that all family members get together and do a holy good thing as one family together. if the whole family attend satsang and bhajans on holidays that would also help build good relations within the family members. with best wishes pandit arjun (god and evil are two sides of the same coin) , "crystal pages" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > Dear Modern Parents, > > I have received a jyotish reading request from an 11 year old child > today, via internet.
