Guest guest
It sounds surprisingly like the ancient Greek gnoothi seauton : know thyself. I doubt if you can find a particular source for such an expression. It sounds more like a proverb. Lars Martin Fosse Dr.art. Guest guest
Namste Nagesh Kini-Ji: You are probably referring to KathopaniShada 1.III.3 aatmaana.N rathitaM viddhi shariira.N rathameva tu . buddhiM tu saarathiM viddhi manaH pragrahameva cha .. 3.. Meaning: The inner being (aatmaa) is the controller, who is seated in of the chariot (as the body), the intellect as the driver and the mind the reins (bridal as the ability to discarnate) what we may call as our individual conscious. The overall gives the significance of "aatmaanam viddhi" Hope this helps, Dr. Yadu INDOLOGY, "Nagesh Kini" <kini_ns wrote: > > Can someone please give me the reference to the following saying: > > "Atmanam viddhi" >
