Guest guest
Dear All, I infer and under stand from various sources that the people of ancient India used mukurtha sasthra (applied Astronomy) for their Veda Aaghama purposes. I have come across the following in an Elective Astrological classic, quote: Vaara nakshatra dosha for Vanga desa (Bengal Country), tithi vaarathi dosha for Malava desa (U.P, Bihar and above?), Amsagha dosha for Kalinga desa (Orissa), vishkambhathi dosha (nithya yoga) for Avanthi desa (Gujarat and surrounding) and grgha dosha applicable for all desas (All countries). From the above I under stand that the practices obtained in one part of Vedic India was applied differently in the other part of Vedic India. May be because of the above in some parts of India Amavasya tithi births are not considered as ominous. With regards, D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta. Next-gen email? Have it all with the all-new Mail Beta.
