Guest guest
Respected Gurujis, I was going through the following chart (the native happens to be my uncle). I reached a conclusion that he will have a severe head injury during Sani/Rahu period (which has started already). And, this could be life threatening one. Is my conclusion correct? (I wish I am wrong!) If it is correct, what is the remedy that you would suggest? birth details: DOB: November 8, 1939 TOB: 3:55 am POB: 77E07, 12N09 Please help. Guest guest
Hi Krisha, One astrologer's opinion. Okay, it looks like you have concern about his Saturn/Ketu in the 8H of serious injuries. When I see a serious pattern like that I always like to look for mitigating or balancing factors. The 1H also represents the head area and he has Virgo lagna with Mercury as lagna lord strong with Venus in the 3H of stamina, will and vitality. Plus, Moon in Virgo looks strong in the 1H and Moon can also represent the head area or brain. Not to take away from the importance of Saturn and Ketu, but it looks like there are these other factors to consider. Also, Mars as dispositor of Saturn is exalted in Capricorn though it is weakened by being in the 29th degree. What doesn't look so good is his Sun in Libra, which is also karaka of the 1H of the head, plus of course the position of Saturn and Ketu in Aries. Nevertheless Venus as the Sun's dispositor looks relatively strong and gets an aspect from Jupiter exalted in Pisces. While Jupiter is not considered to be a friendly lord for Virgo lagna, it doesn't seem to be particularly harmful to his chart, and Jupiter also aspects the 1H of the head. I think the main thing is not to scare anyone with a prediction too dire but at the same time to suggest that the head looks to be a somewhat vulnerable area of health for him, and then suggest transit periods where he may need to be more seriously careful health-wise. Aries *may* mean accidents, injuries, surgery, or something like a stroke. Natal Ketu suggests something of a sudden or unexpected nature related to the health or head. But again, such a pattern should be explained in a way where it doesn't create fear or foreboding. Under Saturn-Rahu, one period to watch is when transiting Saturn and Ketu are in aspect to each other. This exact conjunction will take place in October of 2007 in the 12H of losses and aspect his 6H of health. This is a time for him to take the stress off himself and safeguard his health. Whatever might happen is likely to be sudden nature anyway and what's important is for him to live his life as fully as possible before anything happens, as it will happen to all of us at different times and under different circumstances. I'm sure others will have additional comments to make. Guest guest
Hi Haizen, Thanks for the detailed analysis of this chart and for your advice. I agree with you that one should be cautious as to how to communicate the message. My concern stemmed from the fact that 5 malefics - Sani, Ketu, Kuja, Ravi and Rahu are afflicting Aries either by way of occupancy or by aspect. In addition, two malefics Sun and Saturn are debilitated. Other two malefics Rahu and Kuja are lords of 6th and 8th. Further analysis indicates that Rahu and Ketu are debilitated in Navamsa and Ketu, Sani are afflicting lagna in Navamsa. When Saturn and Rahu are not placed well in the charts, their dasha bhukti period will cause difficulties to the native. In this case the involvement of Ravi and Kuja made with Aries made me suspect head injury. You have indicated he should be cautious during October 2007 based on transits. Interestingly, I too arrived at a similar period through vimshottari dasha - Sani/Rahu/Ketu period is Sep/Oct 2007! Is there any mantra or remedy to overcome the bad times? Guest guest
Hi Krishna, Interesting about the same period of time we came up with, and I can understand your concern about all the factors you mention. If you wanted to cover all the bases, I would suggest propitiations for the unfriendly lords: Mars and Saturn, plus for Rahu and Ketu as well; possibly the Sun too as 12L though it doesn't seem to be causing any harm. Then you could add strengthening measures for Mercury, Venus and the Moon. An all-purpose remedy would be the kavach for Virgo lagna. Or he could use more of the positive planetary colors, which I'm sure you know but I will mention them for the benefit of others: green for Mercury, royal blue or variegated colors for Venus, and white for the Moon. The unfavorable colors would be orange, bright black, bright brown, red, pink, grey, navy blue (for Saturn), and faded colors. White and greens seem particularly good for him if he's not already wearing them. Jupiter in Pisces seems okay to me, so if he wanted to wear a bit of yellow, it would work too. Or instead of the colors, he could use the appropriate gems for his functional benefic planets. I also believe that mantras can be used to lessen the malefic intensity of the functional malefics and Rahu and Ketu. The first to use would of course be for Saturn, Rahu and Ketu: Om Sri Shanaishwaraya Swaha, Om Rahuve Namaha, and Om Ketuve Namaha, or other equivalent mantras. So, there's plenty to work with here, and if you wanted to you could have a yagna performed to neutralize some of Saturn's threatening energy. I can see why you'd want to have him around as long as possible. He seems like a wonderful man. Guest guest
Hi Haizen, Thanks for the detailed advice. Let me see how to take these remedies to him. He is no doubt a very nice person as you have found out. He is big hearted and has helped lot of his relatives and friends both financially and by providing moral support. He lost his wife about four years back and since then he is slowly getting detached with all the worldly things. He is heading a temple building project(devoted to Raghavendra Swamy)and the main portion of the temple is ready and the dieties were installed a few months back. He is still trying to gather funds for completing rest of the temple in his home town in Kollegal near Mysore, Karnataka. Once again, I would like to thank you for your suggestions.
