Sadhe Saati measured as 45 degrees from moon

I learned from K.N. Rao's Journal of Astrology website that Sade Sati

is measured by some astrologers as Saturn's 45 degree transit before

and after the Moon (90 degrees in total), rather than the traditional

12,1,2 house transit from the moon. This alternate reading of Saturn's

transit tries to differentiate the effects between Moons that are

located at the beginning, middle, or end of a sign. I don't believe

this method is all that widely employed. One professional has suggested

that the Ashtakavarga of Saturn is primary to determining the effects

of Sade Sati along with the dasha and bhukti. In that case, the

traditional full house measurement could be more revealing than looking

at a 45 degrees plus or minus arc of the moon, which would end, in the

alternate method, somewhere in the 2nd or even 3rd house.

Any comments. My Moon's at 00.31 Gemini, so I'm watching the effects

closely.

Regards,

Preston

Hi Manoj,

Sadhesati period is said, when staurn in transit traverses 12th, 1st and 2nd house from moon. However, the actual results of the sadhesati are experienced when saturn is 330 degree (or 30 degree in reverse) from moon to the 60 degree from moon.

Neeraj
