Guest guest
One-eyed Coconut: Ref Photo Normal coconuts have three round indented markings or "eyes"... This coconut has only one ! There is no coconut palm producing regularly this kind of such a strange coconut. This sample is the only known example of a coconut having only one eye. This kind of coconut is very rare, probably less than one coconut within several millions coconuts; of course there is no known coconut palm producing regularly this kind of fruits. -------------------- Two-eyed Coconut: Ref Photo. Normal coconuts have three round indented markings or "eyes"... These coconuts have only two ! There is no coconut palm producing regularly this kind of such a strange coconut. This phenomenon is not very common: it occurs no more than one time within several hundreds of normal coconut. Guest guest
Dear Richard Ji, In India Tantra Maharnav defines one eyed coconut as different from what is explained on that blog. All the coconuts carry two eyes and one mouth at the bottom. What he has defined as two eyes is actually a one eyed coconut. The first piece is actualy a Nirakshi NAriyal without eyes. It carries only a mouth. The Poojas of this ekakshi Nariyal are performed either on Deepawali day or one can perfrom it on Chaitra Shukla Asthami day. Regards.
