I am working as a software engineer but always wanted to have just a small business on the side - like an online business. However, I haven't gotten the time / energy to materialize my dreams. I work for long hours. I really want to quit my job and concentrate on trying to establish the business and then find another job. However, my parents don't want me to quit unless I find another job. I can easily disregard their wishes and quit and do what I want to do - but I would feel very guilty if I did that. Every day there is a constant conflict within me between my wishes and my parent's wishes. My wishes are to quit as I am very unsatisfied and frustrated with my job. Please guide me if this is the right time for me to quit and start a business. And how do I simmer down the conflict within me.
