I was trying to analyse compatibility of one pair. Young man has Moon in Chitra nakshatra and girl has in Dhanishtha. I have found one interesting detail about match-making on this page http://www.findyourfate.com/indianastro/10porutham.htm In the section describing Vedha kuta it is stated: "Mrigasira, Chitrai, Dhanishta are mutually anti to each other." Could you please give a reference to a source of that statement. Is it true? I found such only in Ernst Wilhelm's Kala Software. As I know, no other software has this. In B.V.Raman's "Muhurtha" book there is no such statement too. So, are they afflicting each other and form obstruction to couple? I would be very grateful for answer. I have taken them from B.V.Raman's book and have added nakshatras indices and their lords. Please take a look. Aswini (1, Ketu) and Jyeshta (18, Mercury); Bharani (2, Venus) and Anuradha (17, Saturn); Krittika (3, Sun) and Visakha (16, Jupiter); Rohini (4, Moon) and Swati (15, Rahu); Aridra (6, Rahu) and Sravana (22, Moon); Punarvasu (7, Jupiter) and Uttarashadha (21, Sun); Pusayami (8, Saturn) and Purvashadha (20, Venus); Aslesha (9, Mercury) and Moola (19, Ketu); Makha (10, Ketu) and Revati (27, Mercury); Purvaphalguni (11, Venus) and Uttarabhadrapada (26, Saturn); Uttaraphalguni (12, Sun) and Purvabhadrapada (15, Jupiter); Hasta (13, Moon) and Satabhisha (24, Rahu), Mrigasira (5, Mars) and Dhanishta (23, Mars). Guest guest Posted July 20, 2006 Report Share Posted July 20, 2006 Dear Sergey, The methodology is to group the 27 stars in 3 columns. first column 1-9 Aswini to Ashlesha and 2nd column Magha to Jyeshta and 3rd column Mula to Revati. and the 4th column from 1-9 Kethu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury. So finally you will find 1st line of all the 4 columns together as Ashwini, Magha and Mula against Kethu, and downwards in similar fashion. Mrigashira, Chitra and Dhanista shall be seen against Mars. Each planet lords 3 stars. If you have any further problem in understanding the concept, I shall send you the table. An image of the layout can be be seen at http://astroiq.com/DigitalJyotish/screen_shots/screens_chakras6.aspx Make a Equal sided triangle with Nakshatras as dots, of 9 dots on each side. Start from Aswinini. Draw lines parallel to each sides passing through the 9 nakshatras to determine the vedha. Each nakshatra will have 2 line (Vedha), The longer vedha is harmful union. The center nakshatra on each side will have 2 equal lengths, So both will be harmful. Since a Triangle is formed using nakshatra, It represents the Yoni (downward apex) and upward apex is Linga. For Veda purpose we use different style. Write Aswathi, Bharani, Karthika and Rohini from left to the right side. Write Chothi, Vishakam, Anizham and Trikketta from right to the left side. Write Athira, Punartham, Pooyam and Ayilyam from left to the right side. Write Moolam, Pooradam, Uthradam and Tiruvonam from right to the left side. Write Makam, Pooram, Uthram and Atham from left to right side. Write Chaathaym, Poorurtadi, Uthratadi and Revati from right to left side. Makiram, Chitra and Avittam have Vedam against each other. From this table Just below Aswathi, Trikketta comes which is vedha to it etc. Please guide if erred.
