Guest guest
Hi Barbara, You touched me with your last letter and so I shall respond. There are several green stones and I can not tell you definitely unless I see it. However I believe it to be either of two main stones. Either chrysoprase or peridot. There are other stones in the green category ie... amazonite, green tourmaline, aquamarine, emerald, green florite, jade, malachite & green marble but, I do not feel it is them. The way to best tell is by holding it to the light and see how much light comes through the stone. Chrysoprase & peridot are both of elemental Earth and are ruled by Venus the Deity connected to chrysoprase is Vesta a Roman goddess. Chrysoprase is an apple green used to banish greed, envy or selfishness. It is a cheering stone and used to prevent nightmares. Peridot is used also for nightmares, liver ailments and to prevent someone trying to use the evil eye on you. When we are told to offer something over to the deities it is because it is a test of our true spiritual nature. It doesn't have to be probed or dissected it is just what it is (a test). Deities test us all from time to time and this is your test. There is never a failure just test and retest. If one makes the so called passing grade they are elevated to the next higher level. And there we receive even more test until the Kingdom of heaven is upon us forever. The test get harder the closer we get to the end of the path for not everyone is permitted in the Kingdom of Heaven. This is what is meant in the bible by a rich man having trouble getting in. Someone in reality can have hordes of gold yet cannot get in because it serves no purpose in the Kingdom. As far as what is understood by the Deities and your personal life. It is your own mind that creates these ripples of self doubt and destruction. It really doesn't matter if they told you to give over to them all the wealth in the world or a pencil, it is in the doing without question that the importance lies. For example when Abraham was instructed to kill his only begotten son. He attempted to do so without question this is true acceptance. And this is all the test is to represent. If you pass it it is never repeated. I do hope this helps you. Kevji j <barbjs (AT) shaw (DOT) ca> wrote: Thank you Narasimhaye. Guest guest
Dear Kevin, Thank you very much for your reply. I think the thought to "give the rocks to the deities" may have originated from my own mind; however, I can't be sure. Thank you for telling me the stones which are sacred to Aphrodite and Vesta. I, myself, have become a devotee of Athene because I think she helped me in saving two bilva plants which I almost killed. I have a nice picture of her holding her owl with my other deities on the wall. I would like a picture of Vesta and Aphrodite too, but I haven't found one yet. There is one of Aphrodite in a book called The Oxford History of Classical Art which I have from the library. It is titled "Woman from Cos" and is in the Rhodes Museum. The description says that it is a large statue of a draped woman, no doubt the wife or daughter of a wealthy citizen of Cos, and it was probably set up in the second century BC. It states that the added head is an entirely ideal construction, based on images of Aphrodite. I must admit I do wonder what these historians are thinking. Why would I, for example, if I were having a statue made of myself, not want my own head on it? Why would someone want Aphrodite's head on one's body? In your last letter, I believe, you refered to me as a nice, young girl. "Nice" is an adjective which may not apply to me, and I'm not young; I'm 69. I have other stones which are certainly much nicer, including a small jade (nephrite?) eagle; a malachite pendant surrounded by silver; a nice stone which I believe was sold to me as chrysoprase (I can't be sure, because sellers here often don't really know, and all I can remember was that it had "chrys" in the name) and it is a pendant. I think that I will use the green stones to make a small temple for the parad Shivalinga which I got from the Rudra Center and which was made by Punditji Shree Deenanathji. The other parad Shivalinga I wear at all times. I was thinking of making a small temple, in any case, but was intending to buy some different types of polished stones here; they are not expensive. In any case, before I make the temple (perhaps I'll make two) I need to buy some Weldbond. Thank you once again, Kevin, for your kind letter.
