Guest guest
What is Guru-kripa ? Guru is the Self.... Sometimes in his life a man becomes dissatisfied with it, and, not content with what he has, he seeks the satisfaction of his desires, through prayer to God etc. His mind is gradually purified until he longs to know God, more to obtain His Grace than to satisfy his worldly desires. Then, God's Grace begins to manifest. God takes the form of a Guru and appears to the devotee, teaches him the Truth and, moreover, purifies his mind by association. The devotee's mind gains strength and is then able to turn inward. By meditation it is further purified and it remains still without the least ripple. That calm Expanse is the Self. The Guru is both 'external' and 'internal'. From the 'exterior' He gives a push to the mind to turn inward; from the 'interior' He pulls the mind towards the Self and helps in the quieting of the mind. That is Guru-kripa. There is no difference between God, Guru and the Self. Baba Said.... "The objects of our life such as Dharma, Artha and Kama are attainable with our effort, but the fourth object, Moksha (liberation), can only be had with the help of Guru " Baba is every where just feel him and keep on saying `Om Sai Ram' to whom so ever you meet. OM SAI SRI SAI JAI JAI SAI!!! Let us pray at the lotus feet of Bhagwan Baba who is the incarnation of all gods and protector of all, to show mercy on us, and increase our devotion towards him Jai Sai Ram Swamy Mahadevan Bow to Shri Sai-Peace be to all Baba Bless you ever!!! Guest guest
SAI RAM Dear Brothers and Sisters, In this context I want to share some thoughts on Guru Kripa. Scriptures proclaim that without the grace of Guru, it is not possible to attain Moksha or Darshan of God or Self-Realization which is the summum bonum of life. Irrespective of whether one deserves or not or whether the disciple does sadhana or not, Guru Kripa sets aside all normal laws that operate in the spiritual plane and takes one to transcendental bliss. We can say that there is nothing but Gurukripa which is needed for us to attain perfection in life. The Guru is an infinite ocean of mercy. Gurukripa is undeniably a divine force that can turn even a stone into the infinite Satchitananda, what to talk of a conscious being? The Guru is always Gracious. But then, GuruKripa has not only to be bestowed but has also to be received. In receiving it,we immortalise ourselves, divinise ourselves. Jesus said,"Seek and it shall be found, knock and it shall open unto you, ask and it shall be given." It is not as if there is dearth of divine grace or Guru Kripa. We have to seek and we have to knock and having done that, we must be ready to receive it. If this is present then Guru Kripa will flow into us and raise us to the highest realm of immortality and infinite bliss. For the Guru`s grace to flow one has to be a sishya and a worthy sishya. Guru Bhakti and Guru Seva have to be maintained constantly. Thus we have to serve the Guru. What is meant by serving the Guru? It means not only doing personal service to Guru but also live upto his Upadesas(teachings). Accept him as the leader and obey him completely. There must be joy in the obedience to the Guru. Even in dream we should obey the Guru. If this is done constantly without any let or hindrance we are on the path of receiving Guru`s grace. Guest guest
Dear Sai Brothers and Sisters, I am one member of the team of the UK trainers in SSEHV. As a result of BISSE's (British Institute of Sathya Sai Education) and TAISSE's (The African Institute of Sathya Sai Education) involvement with the UN-HABITAT programme in 14 countries in Africa, and a recent two-day SSEHV training session in French in Casablanca, we have been asked to translate our resources into French as quickly as possible. SSEHV UK has 5 teacher manuals, each with 26 lesson plans, which will need to be translated. Currently a team of teachers in Morocco is translating Book 1, and a team of 6 translators composed of Sai devotees in four countries has begun work on More Book 1. We will still need to translate the next three books (of 26 lesson plans each). If any of you who have French as your first language would be able/willing to translate one or more of these lesson plans, it would help us enormously to get these resources for Swami's EHV programme out to those French speakers who are asking us for it. If you can and would like to help with this seva we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact me on sanghasri (AT) humanvaluesnewham (DOT) com With love to all Jai Sai Ram Christina
