The Mandukya Upanishad tells us about the Four states of AUM, the

first one is Vaishwanara, second Taijasa, third Pragya and the fourth

Turiya.

 

When one continues Mantra of AUM, one begins with First Pada of

Aum i.e. vaishwanra...and very slowly one ascends upwards.

 

Siddhi of vaishwanra gives material comforts, Laxmi and heavens and

after death the soul enjoys in lower Astral Planes and then takes re-

birth on earth planes.

 

siddhi of Taijasa state gives control over mind and nature...after

death the Soul goes to Highest Astral planes and comes back after some

time to lower astral planes or earth plane

 

siddhi of Pragya, gives wisdom and understanding of all the scriptures

of all the religions...and also a glimpse of the ultimate truth....the

souls goes to Causal planes and may take birth in higher astral

planes. But such souls rarely come back to earth plane, except when

God desires them to be born as great Saints, prophets etc (like

christ, yogananda, paramhansa, aurobindo)

 

siddhi of Turiya state is not normally possible by any meditation. It

is after one is fixed in prgya state and still continues...and God's

grace is there, one can go to turiya state...(Like Ramana Maharishi)
