Normally a planet must form many success-producing yogas for its dasa to give outstanding success, however, if a Malika Yoga is present, a planet forming even just one success producing yoga will give outstanding success. The result of a specific Malika Yoga is dependent upon the house from which the yoga begins. The indications of that house will dictate the theme of the yoga. With this yoga beginning in 6th we see the great (career) success arising from his ability to rise above any and all competitors, wouldn't you agree?// Yes! Absolutely...! Thanks for your detailed response and understanding of this yoga. // Better to consult the Dreshkana (D3) for siblings...// ;-) Just as I hit the send on that post, I thought you would say this and went directly to the D3 chart! D3 again does back this all up. Separately, I have seen charts where although there are no younger siblings, the siblings still are indicated by the 3H and I know in general we are to look to 3H for siblings. It is often more clear though with elder siblings from the 11th. And again, I do not know if these sisters are younger, older, or a combination. It will be interesting and helpful in my studies to find out how this works in this chart. In my case, my 3H looks pretty rough. A debilitated Venus lords this and occupies 12H from 3rd, as well as conjoined with Mars and Saturn. Venus is Neechabhanga due to Jupiter in 7H from this and this brother was also much like a child to me, one of my children. I'm trying to see if in charts the fact of neechabhanga helps this or more along the lines of looking at health issues in a chart, a neechabhanga planet is still not good for health. Did the fact that it's neechabhanga still give me my younger brother, however as you know he suffered a serious head injury at 19, and then had other accidents and suffered results of this head injury the rest of his life, ending with his death due to this. I don't think neechabhanga is traditionally thought of as the same as when we have a karaka for the house in the house itself, it is not auspicious for living things, though it is productive for non-living things. Do you have any thoughts on this? These, neechabhanga and karakas in the house itself, are clearly different and here I am mixing apples and oranges - but I am interested in your thoughts on this. I do use the D3 chart, but have currently been trying to see as much as possible from the Rasi chart just for strengthening my studies and clarity in reading the Rasi chart. Only referring to the Navamsa chart along with it. Separately however, others on list have pointed out, and also I've read, the Dreshkana chart is a special chart to consider for health issues as well. Back to Kenneth Lay - his D3 shows 3H owned by Jupiter who is in debility in Capricorn in his 1st house. Mars and Mercury are in a 6/11 house parivartana with Mercury in 11H. Mars joined with Venus and Ketu. Mars also owns this charts 4H, and Mercury this 9H. After sending my earlier post to you I was pleased to see this 3H lord debility in D3 right off the bat ;-) (This would receive a neechabhanga with Moon in Kendra from this Jupiter.) My further thoughts are that if he did have a younger sibling, and particularly a brother, there would possibly be serious difficulties for this sibling, difficult indicators for this person - such as in my case. (Although I am incredibly grateful for my brother, having him and this very special soul in my life.) But using the 3H in general for siblings, a native with these indicators for the 3H perhaps would not be free to experience all happiness related to siblings. This then would be true in the case of Kenneth Lay as well, although he has two sisters. //PPS: After HOURS of diagnostics and much pulling of hair and gnashing of teeth (not to mention a few choice words hurled at this rotten computer) I finally discovered the mouse needed new batteries... unbelievable!! Rx Mercury is playing havoc with me :-(// Yikes! Very frustrating.... I'm happy to hear you've resolved it to be the batteries. Thanks Wendy for always all your generosity of time and help in understanding these finer points. This Saturn BTW also owns 8th from 10th. //Navamsa also shows more that it would be older sisters with 3H lord Mercury in debility in 12H with Ketu, however vargotama, and as mentioned Mercury lorded Gemini lords this Mars in rasi chart. Ve/Sa togther in 11H in Saturn's own house and Saturn final depositor of Navamsa chart.// Better to consult the Dreshkana (D3) for siblings... PS: My mouse has just given up the ghost? Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the article you've shared and the insight it lends on these houses, very, very interesting, many thanks for sharing this. The focus on these houses also prompted me to look for any articles mentioning Kenneth Lay's siblings. Looking at the 3rd lord, Mars, and the condition of Mars, sandhi, also owing 12H and 8 houses from 3H and in natural 3H Gemini, it seems he would be without siblings perhaps or at least brothers which are more strongly indicated by Mars itself. I finally did find an article stating that he had left behind two sisters. Hmmm, I'm thinking older, but don't know if this is true, whether they are older or younger or a mix of the two. 11H is Cancer, Cancer and Moon feminine. Moon's depositor is Mars again (12H from 11H again no brothers/Mars), and Moon in his 8H, conjoined but with exalted Sun and as you stated, 10 houses from 11H. Venus is actually final depositor for this Moon, who has the exchange with Saturn. again perhaps older siblings, and Jupiter is conjoined this Saturn, Jupiter again can represent older siblings. Also this Venus has as you've said Rahu for nakshatra lord, and importantly there is actually a parivartana at the nakshatra level with Venus and Rahu. So, although no brothers, still siblings - and that Mars in Gemini, two siblings?.. Navamsa also shows more that it would be older sisters with 3H lord Mercury in debility in 12H with Ketu, however vargotama, and as mentioned Mercury lorded Gemini lords this Mars in rasi chart. Ve/Sa togther in 11H in Saturn's own house and Saturn final depositor of Navamsa chart. This Venus is so important in this chart and also was final depositor of chart at time of death. I've been looking for more and more indications for why this Venus is clearly so involved in this man's chart for his successes and your point of this pancha-malika yoga is a great one here, as well your point of Rahu as star lord. Now looking at what Neena has added with the power lended to the planets due to parivartana, we actually see this Venus is involved in two parivartanas, with two powerful planets in this chart, Saturn, who in this chart is a great friend, and Rahu at the more subtle level of nakshatra lord. These both show so much more the details clearly of this man's life, as well this planet Venus starting this yoga. Interesting this did end in lawsuits and his conviction with the houses involved. Wendy, with pancha-malika yoga, besides the yoga itself, are all planets involved in this yoga considered strengthened? (sorry for delay, I'm a bit rushed here at the moment) My thoughts on neecha-bhanga are that the neecha planet remains neecha (debilitated)...nothing's going to miraculously change the dignity of a planet. However, during sub-periods of the planet causing neecha-bhanga (or transit aspect of same), neecha planet can benefit... These are my thoughts at this time...others might have more to add to this?
