Guest guest Posted July 6, 2006 Report Share Posted July 6, 2006 Dear Members, I have a simple dilemma regarding Ishta Devta. I was told that my Ishta Devta is Vasudevaya. From 2002-2005, I was an ardent Krishna devotee, visiting ISKCON almost every Sunday during this time period. Subsequently after 2005, due to some personal reasons, I lost interst in religion and spirituality. However, from Jan 2006 onwards, I developed renewed faith, but this time in Lord Shiva. Now, I feel very close to Lord Shiva, and in times of stress, the only mantra which comes to mind is "Om Namaha Shivaya". So my question basically, is can we worship other diety then the one specified as Ishtadevtaa according to chart. For reference, I have included my Navamsa chart, my AK is Rahu. Its lord is Guru and with Budha in the house of Budha. This indicates Mahavishnu. Thats why I was given " Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya " mantra to chant.
