Guest guest
I would like to rephrase the question Babaji asked(about Hindus & slavery). When the British came to India, they brought with them Western Science. Hindus adopted this quickly, while the Muslims didnt. They preferred to follow their own religon, with the result Pakistan is a poor country, though very(too much?) proud of their Islamic heritage. India,is becoming rich because it embraced Science. Yet educated Hindus are the most vehement haters of Hinduism. This is nothing new. As far as 1923, Woodroffe in his book "Sakti and Sakta" wrote that educated Hindus hated their own religon even more than many British did. They would agree with British when their religon was insulted- at least the British had an excuse. This continues todate, with many of these "Hindus" now in powerful positions in media, govt etc. So would it have been better if we had taken the Pakistani approach and given our culture preference over Western Science, even if it meant we would stay poor?
