Sai Ram, Alex

Regarding what Swami said about animals reincarnating in

human "wombs", I have read it already twice in some book but it was a long

time ago. I will start looking through all the books I have here and other

sources, but I may take a long time!

If any other group member is able to find the answer meanwhile I would

greatly like to hear it!

I do the Jyoti meditation every evening at midnight. After focusing

the jyoti on my body, I focus it and pray for human beings, first the

nearest and dearest and at the end I include the whole world. I also

include jyoti and prayers for conservation of all non-sentient beings

(flowers, trees, rivers etc), non-pollution, and all animals and the

relationships between humans and animals. In the latter I include

prayers for pet owners to take responsibility with love and

compassion, for all stray and injured animals, and for an end to

animal species extinctions.

When I see a creature from the tiniest upward come into my house that

does not belong there, such as a moth or wasp, I put a glass cover

over it, then a card under it, and carry it outside. Mosquitos adore

me :-( nevertheless I do not try to kill them.

We have 2 lovely cats who have been with us 6 years (from the age of 8

weeks old) and have been strongly advised to keep them indoors at

night because we live near a large dangerous road. We have trained

them to come in in daylight. (We're in London.) There is a mutual love

between them and us and on the whole they're happy animals.

I honour you Alex, and all the others who have responded, for your

concern about animals and for your expression of it.

Sai Ram,

Claudia

Sai Ram Claudia

It really great what you do help animals.

Me too I do the same like you but before freeing them I hold them firmly

and recite Gaytree mantra three times for them. This will help their

soul on the path of evolution.

You are still a very sensitive person - not only towards humans but also animals. I have been searching for you for a while now. Will you get in touch?

yes my dog slowly becoming vegetarian. he is very healthy and likes carrots more than meat.

dogs evolved from wolves who ate human leftovers. they are used to eating vegetable leftovers - meat was too precious to give to the dogs. they should have a mainly vegetarian diet i think

Namaste to all!

I'm curious! Can dogs be vegetarians? If not, why not? If yes, what you think would happened? Do you know any person whos dog is vegetarian? :)

Yes dogs can be full vegetarian. My dog is and is very healthy.

Some important points:

They are like us and need a varied diet, allowing balanced vitamin intake.

Never feed your dog onions. Onions can kill a dog. What happens is the red blood cells explode suffocating the dog. As red blood cells carry oxygen.

Chocolate is very bad, as it can cause heart attack.

Macadamia nuts can paralyse a dog.

My dog eats fruits, breads, pastas, and all vegetables. He especially likes green vegetables.

Interesting to note in the wild the wolf lives in a pack. The head wolf takes the stomach of the kill, and leaves the carcass to the rest of the wolves. The head wold eats the green vegetation in the kills stomach.

Cats cannot be vegetarian.

I also feed my dog dry food when I do not cook:

My little dog loves carrots too, instead of bones. The carrot cleans their teeth well. Dogs teeth need hard things to chew. If they only eat soft food, then in older age the teeth become week. A good crunch is healthy and keeps the teeth firmly inplace.
