Dear Gursahani ji,

 

Following up on my recently posted message (astrology knowledge or

information, applied or just a diamond buried in the ground?).

 

Astrological principles are meaningless if they cannot be applied to

generate readings!

 

I understand and share your frustration because often readings are

not given with astrological thought process that went behind it.

Sometimes this is not done because a reading really is a lot more

complex than, "since your mercury is retrograde and as lord of 6th in

the karakamsha (projected to rashi and not in navamsha VARGACHAKRA,

therefore mercury is not atmakaraka) is forming a connection ... etc

etc" and hence cannot be truthfully captured in a forum reading

because of constraints of time or writing ability etc.

 

One option would be to have forums dedicated to readings and readings

only. Some of us have managed to do that and it makes us a bit more

tolerant to reading requests even though we would have otherwise

tolerated only academic discussion in jyotish.
