The individuality of Jyotish(i) [exploratory, technical, educational perhaps!]

I have always been curious about the jyotishi and the jyotish process

as much as the technical jyotish. Since there are many experienced

practitioners and advanced students on this forum, and most willing

to share, I hope some would not mind sharing their approach in

general or specific details how they approach a reading, internet or

otherwise and if there are big differences in the two types of

readings or approaches those would be instructive.

 

Now I realize that some may be a bit sensitive about telling their

specific techniques and certain procedures. We only want to know what

you are absolutely comfortable in telling us all.

 

It is quite possible that we do not use the same approach each time,

afterall some of us are traditional and conservative while others are

not and there is really no right or wrong way to do things, so please

do not be shy.

 

I am sure that beginners and reading seekers would appreciate knowing

the process used by their jyotishis and what the jyotishis can share.

Again, this is not expected to be more than a general approach in

most cases, though there may be some intrepid ones who would share

more than others. This reflects just a style and by itself is not

associated with the quality of a reading or accuracy. I say that

because I may be encroaching upon a very sensitive region and not

everyone will be comfortable sharing.

 

Maybe the beginners can lead us and share their approaches and

perhaps set an example to follow!
