Guest guest
Dear Dr. I really appreciate the views you have expressed, but at one of the point you have mentioned that - "as a last point, i would disagree with jane that eating meat or fish makes one more anxious fear is most closely associated with vata, and meat/fish can be very effective to reduce vata there is nothing in ayurveda that says these foods cause fear, and in fact, just the opposite impression is left perhaps the idea is that these animals die in state of fear and this quality is transferred to the human in fact, all living things want to live, from the grass on the front lawn, to the carrot pulled out of the ground, and the fish on a fishing line but this idea, taken to the logical extreme, does not support health, and unless the goal is truly founded upon the highest aspirations, which laughs in the face of death, it does do nothing except create doubt and confusion" I think , why shouldn't we remember that whenever we speak in terms of diet in Ayurveda & in specific relation to Manasaroga ( Anxiety can be a subset of Manasroga) , then we need to pay attention towards not only tridosha but also to manodosha ie rajas & tamas. To create betterment of manas we need to plan / advice diet which is more Satvika than Rajasik & Tamasik in nature. Non veg diet thus we can ask to hold on ! Anxiety can be treated together with Yoga - Meditation & Ayurveda. Even in my personal practice I had number of incidences of treating Anxiety related disorders using the skills & expertise in Ayurveda - Yoga & Reiki and other Psychotherapy practices. It gives me a pleasure to learn so many new things from all learned members from our group. The more you read , the better you learn , the greater we realise that there is still lot to cover ! Thanks to all those who constantly post lots of interesting ,valuable & educative information. With warm regards, Dr.Aashish Phadke,Mumbai,India

Guest guest
It could be a quite obvious thing that, there will be too many options other than "DHAARA" in the minds of those who are not aware and experinced the ultimatr benifits of "DHAARA" for the psychological conditions be it any kind. Achieving success through DHAARA purely depends on the wisdom, intellegency, practical experience of the of the true vaidya. First give top priority to ayurveda and yoga. other therapies like biokinesiology,Reiki,Psychotherapy and which else i don't know!. Other wise nothing to do with ayurveda. ayurveda, "Todd Caldecott" <todd wrote: > > ayurveda, "dr.aashish phadke" <ayurinstitute@> wrote: > > > I think , why shouldn't we remember that whenever we speak in terms of diet in > Ayurveda & in specific relation to Manasaroga ( Anxiety can be a subset of Manasroga) , > then we need to pay attention towards not only tridosha but also to manodosha ie rajas & > tamas.
