Guest guest
Namah Shivayah, What a great story! My partner was named "Ashwati", by Amma....which we later found out is her birth star. How did Amma know the exact date, time and location of Ashwati's birth? Omnipresence has to be the only answer. Two days prior to getting a name from her, Amma called me "Ananthasree" during darshan. Again, how does one explain that? Our Mother is amazing. I love hearing stories about getting named by Her. Keep them coming please!!! Love!! Ananthasree http://ananthasree.blogspot.com Ammachi, "Nischala" <nischala11 wrote: > > Dear Nischala, > > Om Namah Shivaya! It greatly increased my devotion and faith when Amma gave me this name as it made me realize that Amma knows my vasanas and my innermost being. I was so eager to find out what my name would be, as I always knew that She would give me a name that would show me that She knows what I most need to work on and develop. My most predominant tendency has been to waver between bhoga/tyaga and between various spiritual paths (a very unsteady mind manifesting as constant fluctuation), so I thought to myself, "How amazing would it be if Amma gives me a name that means "unwavering". When She said that my name was Nischala, and the Swami told me what it means, my faith in Her omniscience increased a hundredfold. She knows each of us intimately, as revealed through the miraculous way prayers are answered and the events She causes to unfold in our lives which serve to eliminate our negative tendencies. How blessed we are to have a Satguru to guide us in this lifetime! > > With love and gratitude, > > Nischala (formerly Kirsten:-) > > >
Guest guest
Dear newborn sister Nischala, I read your post about meeting Amma on your blog. What a sweet story! Also I LOVE your pic of yorself decompressing. It reflects how we've felt here (my husband, older daughter and I) for the past two weeks after spending two weeks with Her in San Ramon. Guest guest
(re: Amma saying "You Annapurna") Oh my goodness, perhaps She was referring to my longstanding attachment to food and tendency to overeat regularly (my second most predominant weakness aside from wavering)?! If She really did say/mean that, it shows that She really does know everything about me!
