grahana yoga

dear friends

 

since so many doubts arise on the minds of astrologers as well as

the natives on what this grahana yoga or gulping of planets is all

about, i wish to explain the same.

 

as per mythology rahu and ketu are demons who are famous to deceive

and devoid the native of the reality which is positively termed as

causing maya and moksha. also as per mythology, rahu gulps sun and

ketu gulps moon.

 

as per astronomy, these are two intersection points of the moon's

orbit and ecliptic beacuse they cause temporary obstruction of light

thereby causing an eclipse. since the light of sun and moon are

essesntial and their eclipse is felt by all sentient beings on the

earth.

 

be it mythology or astronomy, in the following cases ecliptic affect

is felt in a native, in their order:

 

1. conjunction of sun and rahu

2. conjunction of sun and ketu

3. conjunction of moon and rahu

4. conjunction of moon and ketu

5. rahu in sun's sign leo

6. ketu in sun's sign leo

7. rahu in moon's sign cancer

8. ketu in moon's sign cancer

9. sun in rahu's nakshatra

10. sun in ketu's nakshatra

11. moon in rahu's nakshatra

12. moon in ketu's nakshatra

 

negative affects of grahana yoga are felt more in the mahadasa and

anatardasas of rahu and ketu akin to similar affects in KSY.

 

the worst a native can imagine is the combination of grahana yoga

and sampoorn kalasarpa yoga viz. sun+rahu and ketu+moon and all

planets hemmed one side of the axis. this is supposed to be

thousand times more powerful than the ordinary KSY.

 

since rahu and ketu have drunk the amrut (nectar) and have become

immortal and were granted devata status by the gods and are

worshipped equally with all other seven planets in navagrahapoojas

and navagraha homams and since rahu and ketu are allotted the stars

equally and have dasha periods akin to other planets, their role in

humans is of vital importance.

 

due to the changed desha, kala, vartamana situations, rahu is

presented positively because if rahu is powerful in a chart, that

native is adept in making strategies (deceiving others) and get his

things done. similarly several traits of rahu and ketu are seen

positively due to the changed perception and requirements of the

changed world. hence i too started telling my customers that if you

want this or that trait of rahu or ketu, in that way rahu and ketu

are good for you. the most positive inluence of rahu is seen when

natives ask about foreign travel, foreign job and forein settlement.
