Seva morning to prepare the temple: Saturday, July 8, 10 am to 12:30 pm ****************************************** 1. Guru Purnima Celebration: Monday, July 10, 7:30 pm Monday evening, July 10, will be Guru Purnima, the full moon of the Guru. (Please note that this is a schedule change.) We will be celebrating at the ashram with a puja at 7:30 pm followed by bhajans and a potluck dinner. The program will be held in Amrita Hall. Guru Purnima is traditionally held to be the birthday of Bhagawan Vyasa, the Compiler of the Vedas and is a day for celebration and worship - a day on which the disciples remember and express their gratitude to the Guru. On the occasion of this Guru Purnima, let us gather together to offer our salutations to our Beloved Amma. All of the devotees are invited to bring offerings of flowers and fruit to the puja in addition to contributing to the potluck. ************************************************* 2. Seva morning to prepare the temple: Saturday, July 8 This coming Saturday, July 8 there will be a seva morning from 10 am to 12:30 pm to clean and prepare Amrita Hall for the Guru Purnima program. There's quite a bit of work needing to be done. Please email Richard: richardmorey (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net or call him at 925- 324-4656 to confirm. If you can't confirm, just show up Saturday.
