Guest guest
I hate to admit that I'm getting desperate but it's true. A week or so I wrote to all of you that I had 7 brothers who are incarcerated who want letters. Now Amma is on tour and so many people are traveling. Folks are just not thinking of these everyday seva activities. Well, now I have 13 people who need letters. Four of these brothers are Themba's shadow from the state of Illinois. They heard about Circle of love Inside from another inmate, who probably heard about it from another inmate, who heard about it from Themba. Do you understand why I am calling them Themba's shadow? They all know about Amma. They know we send Amma books. They want to hear from us. Can;t you write to one of them?, The names of others have come to me because I always tell about Circle of Love Inside. Can't help it. Wherever I go somebody will ask me to write to their child or their brother or their cousin or to someone that no one wants to write. I get so much from the people I write to and from overseeing this project. One devotee recently agreed to write to a blind illiterate brother in prison in New Orleans. We figured it would be a one way correspondence. No way! He has a buddy reading him him mail and writing back. This man replies more often than my seeing folks! One young man wrote me lots of little short notes with questions. "Do people think of God in a female form?"--things like that. After nearly a year of this, he admitted that he felt powerully drawn to Goddess Kali. He didn't really know what to do with it but God was coming to him as Kali, and that was that! Br. Dayamrita got a lifelong Kali devotee to write to him. This young man just got himself transferred from a laid back prison to a maximum security uptight place to be close to his family so he cold bring them closer togerher, oould heal the pain in their relationships. Jai Kali Ma! Thee are dozens of stories like this all the time in this seva. Please contact me privately if you can write letters to one of Amma's darling children who currently are in prison. There is no darkness that love can not light up. Aikya

Guest guest
aikya ,this is how it was for this child and then AMMA sent you in his life..AMMA sees all of it. its funny that you would write this ,because temba, through AMMAs grace just got a call from a devotee who is on tour with AMMA with something relevant to this .they spoke with someone at AMMAs program who has a child who is on death row.......this reminded temba of when AMMA first brought aikya and temba together in the name of serving AMMAs darling children in this situation.. as a matter of fact its almost exact...you were in the process of writing one of AMMAs children on death row and temba was overwelmed with all the letters he was writing and recieving... AMMAs GRACE...today temba emailed the sister whose child is on death row and AMMAs sun is waiting for her to reply with his info..love you aikya...AMMA is sending HER soldiers in HER army of love your way very soon..SHE has assured this child of this..this is this childs perfect faith.... love you... >"Aikya Param" <aikya > >Ammachi >Ammachi > Getting Desperate Here >Sun, 02 Jul 2006 21:39:05 -0000 > >I hate to admit that I'm getting desperate but it's true. Guest guest
Hi Rick, I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if Circle of Love Inside sends messages and reports about this seva to the local satsangs? If so, we do send such messages. Once upon a time I sent messages about it every now and then. This was okay but a more consistent communication was needed. Blessedly, Sweta Mitzel was happy to write up an announcement to be forwarded to the local satsangs each month and she has been doing that now for about 3 months. I may have just discovered that the satsang groups in Canada may not receive these messages and I'm looking for a way to be sure that they are included. At least a devotee who writes letters for Circle of Love Inside and who belongs to the Toronto satsang said that she doesn't ever recall seeing an announcement about either Circle of Love Letters or Circle of Love Inside programs forwarded by her satsang. Blessedly, the MA Center doesn't try to have a policy on everything. Important decisions are made in consultation with Dayamritaswamy of course. Amma's grace and guidance is the light and shield for all our adventures. Jai Ma! They should be sent to info (AT) amma-fairfield (DOT) org. But sending them to me won¹t have much impact. I want to know if I may send them out to our list. MA Center would have to approve that. Guest guest
Dear Aikya, I am SO disappointed to hear that not only do you have those same 7 new people waiting for letters, but that now the number has grown to 13! I just looked at the statistics for this list, out of curiosity. We have 806 members on this Satsang list, and there were just over 200 new postings to this group. How long does it take to post a note or letter to the group? Only a few minutes at a time. How long does it take to write to a member of COL or COLI? Just a few minutes. (And for me personally, now that I have a relationship going with my new friend inside, I find it takes even less time, as I think of things I want to write to him all the time....) Here we sit and write about how much we want to be in Amma's presence, to be in her arms and to receive her Blessings..We know she sits there out of love for us, night after night, opening her heart and her arms to all of us, deserving of her love or not, over and over again. We know that she does this as a living example to us, to reach out and open our arms to our brothers and sisters. And when we get a chance to repay her in some little way, to follow her teachings and walk our talk, we are too busy. We have no time...We are afraid to reach out. Amma has said that this is a wonderful way of doing her seva. We read her words, we hear her say it. But do we do it? Do we think that Amma doesn't know this? I am embarrassed..... I wish I could take on more letter writing.....But with the COL, COLI, my three sponsored children, and elderly family members all getting letters and cards, I hesitate to take on more....I will pray that hearts open up to your request....
