Guest guest
During Amma's visit to San Ramon, a devotee told me that she was going to India. She had heard that Amma's books were less expensive in India and she was going to buy a set of AWAKEN, CHILDREN for the people in prison that Circle of Love Inside serves. I thanked her very much for that beautiful idea and also let her know that right now the MA. Center donates the books that we send to people in prison. I asked if she had seen the visitors from Pioneer House who came to see Amma and she had. I suggested that the donation of a set of Awaken Children books to the shelter would be a beautiful gift, that those who met Amma in San Ramon seem to have been greatly blessed. She thought that was a great idea so I expect that sometime in the next months, we'll need to give her the address. She lives in an isolated location, where medical resources are limited. Lately he's received much Grace. She has a new Doctor, who has referred her to appropriate resources for her conditions. A sleep study revealed she wasn't reaching deep states of sleep. Someone donated a specialty bed, valued at about $1,000, so she can have deeper sleep, & experience less pain. Her sleep meds are also being adjusted to something more effective. She's been approved for weight loss surgery, which her last doctor wouldn't even consider. New meds have brought down her blood sugar, plus her blood pressure is down. After many years, she now has medication which is effectively addressing mental symptoms of her disease, so she has better concentration. A verocious reader, her disease had made it difficult to read for even 10 minutes. This was a great loss. Your prayers are > surely being answered. > > The River Street Shelter & Pioneer House staff have long been on this list. As previously reported, the staff has been making a beneficial transition. The latest development, is that one of the new staff members met Amma this June (I had nothing to do with this), & she "loves Amma!" During her darshan she saw a rod of gold light going into her heart, & spent the day at the MA Center, "blissed out." She wants the clients to meet Amma. > > Thank you again, very much for your prayers. > > Sweta > > > > > Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail Beta. > >
Guest guest
Dear Aikya, Oh how cool! Actually, the visitors were from the Homeless Services Center, located near the Pioneer House. When Themba said we would try to get some of Amma's books for them, they were very appreciative. Thank you very much for remembering them. Yesterday I was at Costco, & contemplating if I should by a box of super looking cards to use for COL letters. My budget is slim, & it cost $15. Just then a devotee of Amma's, who happens to also love Kali, said "Namah Shivaya." He told me that everyone who has received the same cards from his family, has liked them alot. I figured this was a sign Sweta Aikya Param <aikya > wrote: During Amma's visit to San Ramon, a devotee told me that she was going to India. Guest guest
Wow! When I used to bring groups to see Amma, Dayamrita always loaded them down with Amma books and videos. Maybe he didn't realize that the books could stay in the shelter and anyone could make use of them. Let me email him and see if I can get a bunch of copies of AMMACHI, Amma's biography. They come in packs of 5 copies. I'll ask about other books too for the shelter. Aikya Ammachi, Sweta Mitzel <swetabc wrote: > > Dear Aikya, > > Oh how cool!
