Guest guest
Amma does take a sip of water now and then these days. So we can't go on and on about how nearly miraculous it is that Amma, who has diabetes, never even stops to have a drink of water. Now she does sip water...as she's hugging someone. Guest guest
I hope no-one expresses offense upon reading this below: Someone brought a lot of coconut water for Amma to drink in San Ramon during Devi Bhava, and I whispered to her that she had better not drink a lot, otherwise she might feel like going to the bathroom. She laughed, and I asked her whether she had ever felt like going to the bathroom during darshan. She said that once recently she did feel that way, but she was so not used to the feeling that she thought that she was ill. But she just got up and went to the bathroom near the kalari (in the Indian ashram). Amma does have a few sips of water, coconut water, or even coffee during darshan. Guest guest
At least sometimes, I know she drinks tea. At the end of the Devi Bhava when my husband and I got married, we were offered the rest of her tea by the tour staff as prasad. =) Iswari Ammachi, "amalia_darling94804" <amaliadarling wrote: > > I think it's cocoanut milk. > > -Amalia- >

Guest guest
On this tour I saw Amma eating lots of snacks, drinking a bit, and talking on the cell phone! Twice I saw her on the cell phone! I wonder what calling plan the gods use... On the 15th, during the Ma Om meditation, I noticed that Amma got up and left the hall for a few minutes. Usually my eyes are closed during that time, so I suppose I don't know what usually happens. But that was the night that my fiance was there (to ask Amma to marry us!), and I was so focused on him and distracted and so my eyes were open. So, does she usually leave? If not, does anyone know what that was about? I was so curious! For reference, that was the same night I believe that she asked us to promise to call people the next day who we'd fallen out with. Which I, um, did not do. eep! Guest guest
I for one am happy to hear that Amma is taking care of her physical body's needs...I know that she tells us not to be attached to her physical form, but I cannot help it, am hopelessly attached to that sweet body. Guest guest
She used the phone in Dallas, too! I have not seen that before. I heard that She was probably guiding Ashram bramacharis on relief efforts since it would have been morning in India. But who knows? Maybe She called in to David Letterman or Jay Leno.... I have also seen Her drink something as well-though only once in a 12 hr shift..! After I have gone through 2 bottles or more of water myself!
