Obviously people can do whatever they choose.

What you mean probably is - is it possible for the black magic to harm you, or harm a Durga Devotee?

Well, it depends if you're a real devotee or a devotee merely in name.

That is, if you actively engage in worship or just make 'lip-service.'

I would suggest that Durga devotees have a special shield against the black arts. If they are true Durga devotees. Full of love, charity, and who practice constantly.

Then one has as if a kavacham against such magics.

But if one is just a common, have a puja done once a year, sort of devotee, then anything goes really, because this here is the secret of drawing the protection triangle...

....it is in your spiritual mind. The protection triangle is the blaze of Shakti. Which is Surya, Agni, and Soma, as the three sides of expanding turiyatita.

And "there is no spell but the spell of ignorance." (MMY)

Hi,

Yes anybody can suffer from "Black Magik" especially the one who are ill already or have not enough energy to protect themselves. And those who are devotee of Durga can protect themselves through a ritual that proves to stop the influence and so it's not enough to be a devotee you have to do more to create a barrier between you and that attacker better to be off of crowded places for a while. Talismans are good too, to get protection, and there are many other ways to protect yourself from Black Magik, but you try first to understand that anybody even like you said the person afflicted is a very religious devotee of Nav Durga can become a victim of Black Magik so be aware of that and try to take the next step like I said a special ritual of cleanliness and purification a ritual that will brake the spell or the whole thing that it was put in to bring negative energy into someone life. The person who did that, if the victim will eliberate (free) herself from the influence,

will suffer the consequences because the released negative energy will come back to its origin and destroy the creator of it. That's the reverse side of Black Magik not just the Supreme Law of Karma.

So, Good Luck and I wish you to step out of it without harm.

Just a few more thoughts.

I asked if you were a practitioner of Durga's or just an admirer. I guess your asking this question shows the little faith you have in Her and so you must be an admirer and not a practitioner.

The black magic is just as strong as the BM persons level of awareness. If they can't even tie their own shoes I wouldn't worry so much. If they are mighty sorcerers chances are they won't be bothering with cursing some regular householder. Moreover the curses for stepping on a sorcerers toes are most likely a withering glance and evil stare, but not much more than that. Sorcerors have better things to do than curse every wrongdoing....

Talismans are just as powerful as the faith and awareness of the pundit who produces them, and none of them are so great as the Aksha bead.Rudraksha, which is the Eye of God.

Try japa of Durga's mantra -Om Doom Durgayei Namaha. Or try japa or manasa japa of -doom kreem-. Make sure you give yourself some space when doing this mantra lest you start shouting at everyone as it's very wrathful. Maybe do it for a half an hour after dark sitting up, and then go to sleep after would be best.

If that doesn't repel the BM then you're SOL.

Tell her to chant the Lalitha Sahasranama or the Khadgamala and all will be well. No worry at all, as it then won't be able to touch her in any kind of way.

Chant LSN with a sankalpam (just a maanaseega prayer is enough if

not familiar with sankalpam) only for general well being and

protection of the individual or self and the family. DO NOT ask/pray

for any negative effect to anyone (or to the alleged source of BM).

If the person who is suspected to be affected (your sister-in-law)

cannot chant, anyone else can chant for her with the above sankalpam.

Asking for protection is passive, but very effective defence which

is an universal shield. Whether it is black, gray (some half witted

tantric trying to help someone else through incorrect prayogam) or

just bad karma of self (from this life or earlier), all will be

taken care of.

Hello,

Thanks for the advice.

I would like to read that for her.

Can someone send me the scaned copy of LSN (not too sure what exactly is that).

I have a book, which has Durga Saptshati, Durga Kavach. Is it one of them?

If not, please send me a scanned copy. I cannot read Sanskrit. Will be helpful, if someone can send it in Hindi.

By the way, both my brother and his wife, both of them read Durga Kavacham, morning and evening everyday, in front of Maa Durga, with the lighted ghee lamp.

Thanks

I don't know if you would find a HINDI version per se, as the pronunciation in whatever script will still be in SANSKRIT language. Thus, the best you may be able to do is get it in Devanagari script, which is still pure SANSKRIT, but normally easily readable for most HINDI readers and speakers.

Kinchit prayatnam from the side of dasan, we have some discourses running currently in bulletin board

http://p068.ezboard.com/bsrivaishnavism

They are

Embiraan Satakam - http://p068.ezboard.com/fsrivaishnavismfrm28

Rahasyatraya Sarartha Sangraha, Vedanta Sangraha and Mumukshupadi - http://p068.ezboard.com/fsrivaishnavismfrm19

Sanskrit texts are getting copied hence will post the original sanskrit text of Rahasyatraya Sarartha sangraha and vedanta sangraha soon. Mumukshupadi and embiran satakam are in Tamil. Embiran satakam is very easy to understand hence no translation is attached.

Thanks for the link. BUt, as I stated earlier I cannot read Sanskrit. And I dont want to mis-pronounce anything in this sacred text.

Is it OK, if I read the LSN in english instead? (because Hindi is not available). Someone suggested reciting Kadagmala also. Is it

available in Hindi?

Please help he.

Dear Puneet

this is not kadgamala. it is khadgamala (Khadga mean

sword mala means garland). one who recites regularly,

maa will gift him sword.

Khadgmala again in sanskrit available in devnagari

script at par with hindi it is simple to pronounce.

Please visit and download www.vi1.org or

www.devipuram.org (site of Sri La Amritanda Natha,

Visakha patnam Andhra Pradesh)

Small suggestion

In LSN there a nama / Name of Maa as Paramantra

vibhedini (she who breaks the mantra used by others on

us).

This you can chant adding some seed mantras as

Om AIM HREEM SREEM Paramantra vibhEdinie Namah.

Please complete 1 lakh chanting as early as possible.

If you use a Lal/Rakta chandan Mala nothing like it.

Whenever possible offer Red Fruit to her. But start

on a good day from a temple (Either Shiva / Mata)

near to your house.

When you do japa at temple, the astral / divine forces

in temple will come to your house along with you.

Then start chanting this japa at home too.

My Lalita tripura sundari / Lalita parabhhatarika

bless you soon.

Hi

Since you were so specifically presciptive (one lakh times japa etc.,) and you have prefixed the bijas aim hrim shrim why not make the nama chaturthyanta, that is, Om Aim Hrim Shrim Paramantravibhedinyai Namh

Om namastripurasundari

The traditional version of LS, the one adopted by Bhaskararaya uses only one dhyana sloka viz., Sindurarunavigraham... etc. In dravida desha (Tamil Nadu) samayachara sampradaya, one more sloka is added viz., arunam karunatangitakshim...etc. In Telugu and some other traditions, one more sloka is added. Thus it is enough if the first dhyana sloka is used.

Incidentally, thqat is the only dhyana sloka we use in kadividya while doing japa of panchadasi.
