Guest guest
I found this posted on another Amma online group and thought it was great. I don't know the original source, but it is: <I>A devotee story. As a child once he became separated from his parents at a large gathering in India. In fact he was separated from them for hours. As night fell the child was still lost, wandering, screaming and crying looking for his parents. he was five or six years old at the time. Suddenly a woman appeared who took his hand and after some time, led him to his parents. This Indian gathering had tens of thousands of people. after this boy grew into a man he always remembered this woman and her gentleness and kindness. Who was this strange woman? How did she know where his parents were? Of course at the time, as a child he was just grateful to see his parents again. The woman simply disappeared into the crowd afterwards. Also there were many other adults who tried to help him that day find his parents but he did not trust them -- but for some reason he trusted this woman and allowed her to lead him into the crowds through the maze of people. Later this man, in his sixties at the time, when to receive Amma's darshan. As darshan concluded, Amma reminded him of this incident and how she was glad to see that her son had finally found his real mother not just the mother he was separated from as a boy that day at the festival. This incident occurred in Delhi at a time when Amma's form was not yet on this earth. </ I>
