Guest guest
Dear Temba, I want to be clear that I care about you. I think that the dream of an Amma home for the homeless is a beautiful one. I have been attempting to bring a grounded, practical perspective to the discussion. I would do the same for any of my family members. As a wife and mother and for myself, I have learned to be supportive of dreams while at the same time helping to talk through the practicalities. Sometimes we decide to take leaps of faith but practice discernment in these choices. I have had some time to participate in the this past week because I have been taking a break after Amma's visit. The reason I said that I needed to bow out is that in addition to managing my family and working two days week with my toddler coop, I am also starting a parent education business. I have recently become certified as an "Aware Parenting" instructor by Aletha Solter Ph.D. (www.awareparenting.com if anyone wants to check it out.) Please pray for the success of this venture! Please stop asking me to call you; I really don't have the time or space for that. I need to refocus on the business. I am not a very disciplined person so being self-employed is a real challenge:>) Chris and I are both working part time and sharing the financial responsibilities. It was nice to see you again in San Ramon. I hope you get to see Amma in Chicago as well. I lived there a couple of times when I was growing up and my father was studying at the University. I remember the Lake Michigan beach, the university and the Museum of Science and Industry. Peace and Love in Amma, your sister, Amalia Ôm Amriteswaryai Namah
