Guest guest
I am a little confused. On the one hand, Amma talks about the benefit and value of being in the physical presence of Amma. The Swamis have also talked about this and how it helps advance our spiritual quest. Then on the other hand, Amma talks about not being attached to Her physical form and to learn not to depend on being with Her in the physical state. So this confuses me. I have heard we should try to be in our Guru's presence as much as possible. I'd like to go to Chicago, too, this year but it would create havoc-financial and otherwise. So I have decided to pass on it. Anyone have more information to clarify this? thanks, adriane
Guest guest
Sister Adriane Om Namah Shivaya! One point, I understand is there is a lot in the way each of us interprets what Amma or Swami says, which could be different according to how much we are advanced spiritually. This is how I will explain. A sure way to start our spiritual awakening and advance spiritually is to be in presence of a Mahatma. But we must know that the physical form of Amma is not everything. We must learn to depend more and more on inner Amma and be able to see Amma in everyone, everything and in every action in our day to day life. But I understand, we are cultivating the habits Amma is saying. We are having Satsangs and this online Satsang. These processes help us grow spiritually. We understand Amma is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent and not just there in Her physical body. When we call Amma during our distress days and pray Amma to give peace, I understand we are not attached to the physical body of Amma but pray to Her to remove our obstacles with full faith in Her. This is how I understand the point you mention. Cheers, Mahadevan Venkitaraman Ammachi, "n2amma" <a1driane wrote: > > I am a little confused. Guest guest
AMMAs sun hopes this can help dear sister...AMMA suggest that we adore the form of the GURU while at the same time realize that SHE IS beyond form and that HER POWER pervades the ENTIRE UNIVERSE and is not limited to the body.. iAMMA also says that everything we see BEAUTIFUL IN HER EXTRENAL FORM IS but a reflection of what is INSIDE OF US....just keep going within and when that doesnt work, dig deeper.. it is AMMA within you that ,you must find .find HER there and you will se HER EVERYWHERE...........love you... >"n2amma" <a1driane (AT) swbell (DOT) net> >Ammachi >Ammachi > Presence of a Mahatma >Mon, 26 Jun 2006 12:37:21 -0000 > >I am a little confused.
