Guest guest
If you observe carefully the present tradition itself, you can get the whole concept without referring to any Holy Scripture. When a householder dies the rituals are performed and a cow is donated so that the diseased person can cross `Vaitarini' (river of blood and pus) present before hell. This clearly shows that every householder is going to hell. The householder is doing Gayatri Japa, wearing the cross belt, worshipping the inert statues and photos etc., When a saint dies such rituals are not performed. This clearly proves that a saint goes to Brahma Loka and not to the Hell. The saint leaves Gayatri Japa, throws away the cross belts, does not worship inert statues and photos. A saint always propagates the divine knowledge in the world. The present tradition also shows that all the householders prostrate at the feet of the saint. This shows that the stage of the saint is certainly higher than the stage of the householder. This shows that everybody should pass from high school to the college. All the rituals should be protected like the high school for the future ignorant batches. We never say that since you left the school the school should be destroyed. We are saying only that you should leave the school and go to the college i.e., you should not die as a householder but you should die as a saint. Leaving the house and wearing the saffron cloth are not necessary for a saint, which are external only. A policeman sometimes does his duty in mufti without the uniform. An actor wearing the police uniform cannot be the real police. Therefore anybody can become a saint by participating in the propagation of divine knowledge and working for the welfare of the entire humanity without the saffron cloth and without leaving the house. A householder is burning camphor, fume sticks, oil and ghee in the lamps and in Yajnas causing lot of pollution and stopping the rains. He is harming the humanity by such foolish deeds, which are not mentioned in Vedas. Some ignorant preachers fooled public by such deeds and he is not benefited at all. A saint never does these things because he cannot be fooled since he attained the Jnana. Therefore confining to the present tradition itself, one can get the true knowledge without going to the scriptures. The ancient Indian sages (rishis) who are the real saints set up this tradition. When you do not understand even the tradition that is before your eyes, how can you understand the Vedas and Sastras? Guest guest
dear surya ji whatever you have written is true but is targeted for the realised persons. this group mostly has suffering natives who have not achieved self realisation. hence the advice of stopping all poojas and pariharams is not sane to ordinary laymen. as you pointed out on school and college, as you are aware, a person passing out from a school (10th class) does not have the capacity to teach the 10th class children. a graduate or a post graduage would teach the 10th class children. similary a post graduate and other higher Phds will teach the graduates etc. similarly only a realised person can preach to the unrealised persons. however, my experience says that realisation shall not be thrust on a native by enlightening him that the entire world is maya. if a person with his family i.e. wife and children approaches you, you dont tell him to leave the wife, children and job and become a renounced religious person. recently a person came to me lamenting that he approached a guru who asked him to leave his job and dedicate himself to the guru and his ashram for serving the humanity at large. after two years, the guru passed away and his successor had no love for this poor man. so he is back to his home searching for a job. you may open a new group on realisation and renouncement where desirous people interested in renounced all the worldly mayas and realising the ultimate reality i.e. god will join there, i would be the first member of your such group. with best wishes pandit arjun , "surya" <dattapr2000 wrote: > > If you observe carefully the present tradition itself, you can get > the whole concept without referring to any Holy Scripture. Guest guest
The Veda says that one can enter the Sanyasa Ashrama (monkhood, renunciation) on any day and there is no time limit for any Ashrama or stage in life (Yada hareva Virajet). Sanyasa Ashrama does not mean leaving the house and wearing the saffron cloth. Whenever you receive the divine knowledge and whenever you are propagating that divine knowledge in this world by discarding all rituals, idol worship, the so-called Gayatri Mantra and the sacred thread (which is only a model indicating that you should catch the Lord in human form), you have become a saint (monk). The external dress is not necessary. The maturity of mind and the sharp analysis of the intelligence, in search of the truth, make you a saint. Leaving Grihastha Ashrama (stage of householder) does not mean leaving the home and family. It means cutting your family bonds in your heart. Similarly taking Sanyasa Ashrama does not mean wearing the saffron cloth. It means attaining the divine knowledge and propagating it in this world. There is no time limit and it should not be taken in an external physical sense. All this is only in the internal spiritual sense. Thus on any day, one can become a sanyasi.
