As per Bhagavad-Gita Hindu religion has its origin from 5000 years ago. Any body can argue that this religion can be tracked to before Jesus Christ took his birth. When Jesus Christ start preaching Christianity Hinduism is already flourishing. The purpose of Jesus birth is different that he achieved and went to higher lokas. Again that is another subject. At another time Mohammed had born and performed Allas duty. This is again after Christianity. I feel sad when the most admired Hinduism is bankrupt. I know this age of Kali Yuga has started 5000 years ago and still apporx.432, 000 more years to go (quoted from Bhagavad-Gita). I dare to say Hinduism is appreciated by most learned again from Bhagavad-Gita. Are classes of people following same rituals that are prescribed for them? I feel sad when learned Brahman leaves his duty and does another varnas duty. There is no dearth of people in each Varna. There is no dearth of people who does business. There is no dearth of people who can rule this country. There are enough people who do all these duties. But there is dearth for higher caliber people the teachers. Again there is caste system. I feel caste system is one of the set backs of Hinduism. For example, A Brahmana has to give mantropadesam to anybody as a remedy why Sudra has to give a remedy. Because there is a dearth of Brahman’s who genuinely teach Vedic knowledge to others. There is a Varna sancramana here. This is a bad sign. This should not continue. As per classical texts any Varna cannot do anything except prescribed duties. This doesn’t mean corrupt Brahmin and Hindu. I have seen a person with genuine interest in studies has come to Sudra to get his knowledge straight. Better education leads to better people. And these constitute a better society. I have seen a Sudra person getting guidance from another Sudra community person. Sudra person cannot guide any person to a proper path how intellectually strong he may be. There is a system to follow. Lastly, Hinduism has its importance and role in this society. It has its loopholes as any other system. I feel by following the rituals prescribed in the sacred books like Vedas and other Hindu system can become more tolerant to other. India can be a better place for a better tomorrow.
