Guest guest
~ Om Namo Narayanaya ~ Dear Deven, 1. Lord of Trines are functional benefics (1, 5, 9). Lord of 3, 6, 11 are functional malefics. Lord of 2, 8, 12 are functionally neutral. Lord of quadrant is functionally malefic, it is natural benefic and is funtionally neutral, if natural malefic. 2. *Generally*, gemstones of Trines are recommended (lagna lord and then ninth lord). Yes, if venus is deblitated for Virgo Lagna, its gemstone can be worn as it is lord of 9th house. Here Venus in FB and placed in trine, so its gemstone can be used. Guest guest
~ Om Namah Shivaya ~ Dear Deven, I have seen some books mentioning about the minimum weight. Generally, I recommend 5 to 5.5 ratti or 7 to 7.5 ratti for most of the stones except diamond. Always take the stone in 0 to .5 ratti i.e. 2 to 2.5 ratti, 3 to 3.5 ratti,......., 7 to 7.5 ratti and so on. It should not be .75 ratti (3/4th of the fraction). I stress on quality of gemstone rather than weight. If you can get a clear gemstone (VVSI or VVVSI - Very very small inclusions) of 3 ratti instead of gemstone with more weight but with medium or large inclusions, spots etc. that would do more good. So, basically here (for astrological purpose) the quality matters more. Even if stone is small but of good quality, it will bring good results. However, flawed, cracked or gemstones with more inclusions do more harm than good. There are some other rules like big ruby should not be worn by women as it is very hot stone. Emerald is not recommended for newly married couples. Substitutes of Blue sapphire to be used, if saturn if FB and placed in inmical sign etc. that you can learn from books, case studies, gurus etc. Regards, Neeraj --- Pradeep <psd1955 > wrote: > FB= Functional Benefics > We need to compile a glossary and upload it in the > Files section. > Regards, > Pradeep > - > chopradeven81 > vedic astrology > Wednesday, June 21, 2006 9:06 PM > [vedic astrology] Re: Functional Benefic/ > gemstones > > > Dear Neeraj Ji > > namaskar > thanks for your reply > > Just one more thing Sir > > You mentioned something like "Here Venus in FB" > What does this "FB" mean here. > (2)How to decide on the weight of gemstone. Is > there any rule or > formula for this.Could you please help in this > matter. > > Regards > Deven > > vedic astrology, Neeraj > Gupta > <gupta_neeraj_2000 wrote: > > > > ~ Om Namo Narayanaya ~ > > > > Dear Deven, > > > > 1. Guest guest
Namaskar Neeraj Ji Why I wanted to know about this is because one astrologer recommended me to waer a 34 cents diamond. Now I am wondering what was the logic for this odd figure"34 cents". He is a very renowned astrologer and I was thinking there must be some calculation or he just wants to confuse the customer so that the customer doesn't go anywhere else. And he told me that he can get me one such clear piece in around Rs17000 which I know is the wholesale price but gain diifficult to get in VVS1 or VVS2 with a F or G colour. Can you figure out something regarding this weight calculation. I will also ask this in the group from other astrologers. Let us see if there is some standard rule for this. Regards and thanks for your attention to my query DEven vedic astrology, Neeraj Gupta <gupta_neeraj_2000 wrote: > > ~ Om Namah Shivaya ~ > > Dear Deven, > > I have seen some books mentioning about the minimum > weight. Would you recommend the gemstone? Debilitation is cancelled because of D9 exaltation. Guest guest
Dear ramesh Ji namaskar This is DEVEN You addressed this question to Neeraj Ji but I want to interfere because I know one rule regarding this. The rule is that the 2nd house lord always gives the result of the other house which it is lord of. For e.g. in this case venus is lord of 2nd and 9th house but it wil give result of only 9th house lord not of 2nd house. You can confirm this from our learned Gurus also.I guess I m pretty much right. The same rule applies to 12 house owners also. Regards Deven vedic astrology, "Ramesh F.
