Dear Folks

My friend and I are having this debate. Please follow this and let

me know what you think.

Scenario 1

1. I will give you the chart of 10 people (all 100% correct charts).

There is one job to be taken and within 1 day everybody does the

interview and the decision will be made the same day.

Please answer yes or no with examples and notes as required.

Question 1: Will you (the astrologer) predict who will get the job?

Yes or No

Question 2: Have you done this kind of exercise (ex ante or ex post

event). Give examples

Scenario 2

I will give you the chart of 16 nations (assume all 100% correct)

that make it to top 16 in the Soccer world cup.

Question 1

Will you (the astrologer) predict who will win the cup? Assume date

of the finals is known

Question 2: Have you done this kind of exercise (ex ante or ex post

event). Give examples

Thanks to everybody in advance who will answer these questions

without side tracking the issue.

Dear M,

my response would be that to do ten charts for such an event you describe would take some time, but for the job interviews I would have a go. I have done something similar before but in more of a fun context but was quite pleased with the result.

For the 16 nations for the soccer cup I wouldn't take part, but you say THE chart for sixteen nations, implying only one chart for all, do you mean you will give sixteen charts one for each nation?

I am not sure this is the response you wanted as you seemed to present these questions as a debate between you and a friend, what was the debate about?

one horoscope for each country - assume we know the time of birth for

each country. COnceptually it is similar to interview success question.

The debate was about predicting success in sports (NBA, cricket etc).

If one has the chart of coach, captain and some main players of both

sides, can we predict who is going to win cup (finals)?

My answer is yes. I am certain people have done it before and

predicted succesfully.

Hi,

I am sure people will predict when we know who are the

two in the finals. If the teams are well matched its

just a guessing game at that time, 50 % will be right

and the other 50% will be wrong. The ones who are

right will gloat in their glory and the other 50% will

try again next time hoping for better luck.

As this is an hypothetical case one can say anything

as 16 accurate charts is a dream state even

hypothetically.

Why wait for the same? I think this exercise should be done. It will be an

excellent experience. I was thinking on the same lines for the Miss India

contest earlier this year. I could not get the birth details of contestants

in time.

If you have the correct data of nations, I'd love to participate.

Thanks and Regards

Bharat

Please elaborate and explain what you mean by "proper" data?

How would you ascertain that accurate data have indeed been provided

to you?

More often than not, that is where the 'Devil is in the details!"

At least in-so-far-as astrological quizzes goes ...!

Dear Bharat,

Unlike sport, arts and beauty are not formally competitive. The whole

point about sport is that competition is its essence. Competition in

the arts, although dating back to ancient times (Nero was particularly

fond of winning first prizes for music - unsurprisingly he won every

competition he entered), is incidental.

I'm a touch skeptical about the validity of an exercise involving

beauty pageantry, especially if you're trying to ascertain which girl

would get to be on top (pun unintended) ;)

Yes, it is not a competition in the sense of other competitive sports and I

did not intend to treat it thus. My exercise would have been to find out

what makes one person be crowned Miss India and achieve fame, gifts,

interviews, etc. whereas, others are left out. It would have been a

fascinating exercise.

Well, this is out of context as I wouldn't want to dilute this thread. I

just hope we get down to analyzing the top 16 teams and predict for each

match. I wouldn't care even if I am 100% wrong, atleast I'll understand the

extent of my ignorance in Astrology.

Thanks and Regards

Bharat

Couldn't concur more. No better way to hone one's skills - or as in my

case, the lack of it :)

Hariom,

Dear Friends ,

There is a group where predictions are made before the event and coming true alrady.

No one apperas to have posted Data to enable one to try. a sample is pasted.

By the way this group on MSN deals in KP astrology and SE a variation of System analysis.Basically Solar returns in principals is employed in slight modified form. This is just for information to those interested.

pranavsiva

Friends,

As predicted earlier in this list, both Argentina & Holland won in yesterdays match. For Ref here is one of the posting.

Members may take note , whenever the match end in "Tie", my predictions goes wrong.

Technical details

Query--Will Argentina win in todays match against Serbia & Montenegroe ? The KP Horary No is 33

KP RULE--VI or XI cuspal sublord connected to II,III,VI,Xor XI denotes success

Analysis

XI cuspal sublord Mn owns III & is a significator of III. Hence concluded Argentina will win & Argentina did win.

Query--Will Ivory coast win in todays match against Holland ? The KP Horary No is 75

Analysis---The XI cuspal sublord Mercury strong significator of XII & VI cuspal sublord Mars a strong significator of XII.Hence concluded Ivory coast will be defeated & Ivory coast lost the game to Holland exactly as predicted

Pranav

Attachment--Worksheet of Argentina & Ivorycoast

Sharmaji,

Perhaps someone using prashna can answer these questions. For example using the KP system. Any other method may not work as well due to obvious reasons.

Dear Pradeep,

The foundation of prasna shastra is a query-answer model. A querist

queries and the astrologer, based on various factors, prognosticates.

I'm not sure whether a prasna like "Who can win?" by the astrologer to

himself would fetch as proper an answer as something like "Will I

win?" by a particular person (participant).

Bharat,

I have done this for US Supreme Court justices to see why Roberts

became the Chief Justice (after the event) with 6 horoscopes of

other Superme Court Justices.

My point was to see if we can do this before the event and predict

succesfully. With the correct horoscopes the answer is yes.

We could do this using Chaitra Sukla pratipada horoscopes for all

the 16 nations that go to next round of world cup.
