Karakamsha is the navamsha sign in which atmakaraka is placed.

Then the community divides! One group says that the karakamsha chart

should then be seen in the rashivarga with the lagna being the

karakamsha sign.

Others say that one should use the navamshavarga chart and not switch

to the rashi varga.

An interesting recent entry was from an individual who went to a nadi

reader who drew his rashi chart accurately but placed the lagna in the

karakamsha sign.

Jyotish is riddled with such variances and each is backed by very

strong statements and sentiments.

Any comments from this forum on this matter and any preferences?

Dear friend,

Amsa = Navamsa

One is Karaka Rasi

Another is Karaka Amsa

These two are dispositors of the Atmakaraka.

Their Kendra/Trikona position

and Astakavarga relationship with the Atmakaraka

in every Rasi as well as Divisional Charts

indicates the

enodowment/ disendowment of the

natuaral skills, qualities and capabilities

signified by the houses/planets that disposits the Atmakaraka

indicating the journey in that particular area of the soul

in its pleasures and sufferings in this physical body.

So, there is no need for a division.
