So all you lucky West Coasters, or travelers thereto: what news have you on

the musical embroideries of Amma's bhajans this summer? Sad? Sweet?

Rockin'? Golden oldies back in rotation?

Namaha Shivaya,

Oh yes. There are quite a few new songs that Amam

sang that reflect all the moods. A lively new Ganesha

Bhajan (Jai Ganesha Jai Ekadanta), a new Punjabi

bhajan (Tan Man Dhan), and a couple of soulful English

ones. I love "Hail to your Glory" and "Everyone in the

World..." Also a couple of slow Malayalam ones.

They haven't yet released a 2006 world tour album,

but there's North India Tour vol 1 and 2 that has some

of these songs, except the English ones. I think there

is also a new Pray and Serve vol 2 with new English

bhajans.

Amma also sang "Amma Amma Taye" a few times during the

public programs in San Ramon. I always wanted to hear

Amma sing it. Of course when Big Swami sings it when

Devi Bhava ends is priceless, but seeing and hearing

Amma sing it is beyond words...

Jai Ma!

Bhajanamritam vol. 5 has been published as well as a 2006

supplement, not to mention the new song sheet! Here are the words

to "Everyone in the World" which is taken from one of Amma's

speeches. Was it the New Year's speech?

Everyone in the world should sleep without fear.

At least for one night, sleep without fear.

Everyone in the world should eat to their fill.

At least for one day, eat to their fill.

There should be one day when there is no violence,

No one is injured, no one is harmed.

All people young and old should serve the poor and needy.

At least for one day, serve selflessly.

This is my dream; this is my prayer.

Love is the answer; Love is the way.

OM Namah Shivaya Gopinath: So glad to hear that Mother granted that wish,

and more than once! Isn't it something? I can't remember when my "first"

Amme Amme Taye was, although I do recall listening to a tape playing in the

kitchen, before my ears had been so initiated, and being so marvelled by the

idea that Mother would sing it Herself!

Ah, this is reminding me of the "setlist" preoccupations of music fans who

go see The Gratetful Dead, Phish, String Cheese, New Monsoon, etc. People

who are at the shows post the songs played online for other fans to enjoy

vicariously. "What did they play last night....?"

Thank you, Amalia, for sharing the words to "Everyone in the World." I'm

most anxious for a lyrical preview of the new "Jai Ganesha Jai Ekadanta"

tune as well. (hint hint)

much love, Prashanti
