There's a very good movie/video put out about St. John of the Cross

at http://www.stlukeproductions.com/. It's very good, and very

Bhakti-related. The audio cassette of the same play (haven't seen

it in person yet) isn't as good.

St. John of the Cross's sublime poem "Dark Night of the Soul" and his

commentary is very valuable to a seeker. I like how he describes

that a certain point a person will surround themselves with all kinds

of (rare or special) religious items. When I first got serious, I

got rid of many worldly items (CD's etc.) and hung only spiritual

pictures on the wall and all. Then got simpler from there. I've

met people who were tons of malas or other extravagances or seek rare

relics, etc. Unfortunately, some people stagnate at that point.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the referral to this film. In fact, I had been scouring the Internet trying to find a

documentary on his life. Ditto on all points below.

Jai MA~~~
