Hi there one and all,

This is Aikya, your friendly neighborhood coordinator since July

2004, for Circle of Love Letters, the community program which sends

letters of love and support to community members who are sick,

grieving or isolated. Corynne Wilson from New Jersey is my right

hand in this work. Sweta Mitzel helps me stay in touch with local

satsangs about the program. We have letter writers and recipients

from Canada, the US and Aunstralia. I have been coordinating Circle

of Love Letters for since August 2004. Prior to that I was a letter

writer in the program.

We are always happy to hear about new recipients and to get help

from new letter writers so please contact the program at

circleofloveletters (AT) hotmail (DOT) com to volunteer or to suggest someone

who needs love and encouragement.

I also started Circle of Love Inside, Amma's prison ministry, in

November of 2004. We serve brothers and sisters who are incarcerated

in thirteen U.S. states. Letter writers from the US, Canada,

Ireland, Australia, Malaysia and China write to incarcerated

brothers and sisters in the US.

A mother and her two daughters write letters for us in Ireland.

They live in a town with a large maximum security prison. I look

forard to a little Circle of Love Inside outpost soon in Porlaoise,

Ireland, some day soon. It would be the first prison outside the US

that we would serve.

The M.A. Center gives us books about Amma for free to send to people

in prison. They are sent to individuals in prison who request them

and also to prison libraries, prison chapel and reception

libraries. In addition we have a small number of volunteers who

visit people in prison.

Circle of Love Inside now receives letters from folks who have heard

about our work from other inmates. Family members come tell me

about sons, husbands, nephews, cousins and ask if we could write to

them, if we could send them books. A security guard at the church I

attend asked for some flyers about our program.

Right now I have seven new names of Amma's tenderly loved children

in prison. They are in the states of Washington (new state for us),

Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey (another new state for us), and

Pennsylvania. They want letters. Some of them want books. They all

want someone to reflect back to them that they matter, that someone

cares about them, that someone wishes them well.

How great that everyone is inspired by what has been happening

during amma's visit to San Ramon this time. This is real heart to

heart stuff. I am very passionate about the prison work in

particular. Why am I so on fire about this stuff? I never

understood until this past week.

Last week I attended a workshop designed to help families with

members in prison express their feelings about what that was like

for them. For me it opened up a lot of grief about my little

brother. He never went to prison but he was headed in that

direction. He got into all the wrong things, but he didn't live

long enough to wind up in jail. All these years, when I would miss

him, I'd think about a nice normal future that he could be enjoying

if he was still alive. When I went to that workhop, I realized that

those were pretty stories and not the truth. In fact, he probably

would have been one of the guys whose names I have who wants

somebody to write to him. I realized that my passion about reaching

out to these folks was because of my baby brother. I'm always

reaching out to him, sending books to him, wanting him to know that

he is loved, no matter who I'm dealing with in whatever state. It's

really only my little brother, literally.

Say, can you write letters to these folks, one of the seven new

people? Seven new names all at once is a lot I tell you. My

faithful and amazing letter writers, champtions that they all are,

might like me to ask someone else just this time. If you think you

could find it inside yourself to reach out to one of these brothers

and sisters, please contact me at circle.of.love.inside

I am thanking Amma right here and right now for lighting the light

of inspiration and love in bright new wonderful volunteers that she

is sending our way so that each of these seven will know Amma's love

through the care of new volunteers.

Great letter! It was neat that you could set the record straight

without having to mention Themba. I am sure that the majority of the

people on the list and in the MA Center think that Themba founded COL

and COLI.

it is sad that you all are doing this and it kind of hurts a little bit ,but

this child will get over it...now here is the truth.this child never took

any credit for anything and none of us should.it is all AMMA..

as far as CIRLE OF LOVE INSIDE GOES.here is the truth..months before this

child met aikya param or anyone besides br.dayamrita,he was wring brothers

and sisters incarsated and going on prison visits..circle of love inside was

already in operation but it just didnt have a name..this child was doing

this by himself through AMMAs grace...AMMAs sun had so many brothers writing

him that he reached out to dayamrita for help .this is when he met aikya

param....this was months later.when aikya and this child hooked up,we gave

it the name circle of love inside, however it was already happening prior to

the name, which never mattered to this child anyway...

aikya responsibly took it over by herself as AMMAs sun had some more

struggles to face ,but this is how it first came together...

everyone wants to take credit and this is rediculous.no of us has done

anything.you all are missing the point.AMMAs sun didnt write those artcles

recently placed on HER WEBSITE..they did.AMMAs sun already told them that

they used his name to much....

AMMA has out of HER OWN MOUTH,given us HER BLESSING TO BEGIN OUR EFFORTS TO

establish home FOR HER HOMELSS children in ca.this is where this childs

attention will be.

we must keep our eyes on the bigger picture.ALL CREDIT GOES TO AMMA AND HER

GRACE AND LOVE..ITS NOT ABOUT US.

Dear Themba,

Why should you be hurt that Aikya wants to set the record straight

about her part in the accomplishments of Circle of Love? Had she not

done so for herself, I would have done it for her. While you didn't

write the articles on Amritapuri.org, they were certainly based on

interviews with you. It appears that you let them think that much of

other's work in the program was your own. In Christianity that's

called a"sin of omission." Actually, it is my understanding that

you are no longer connected to Circle of Love Inside rather than

being a "key figure" as the article claims.

While it is all Amma's work, there's nothing wrong with giving

credit where it's due. You deserve credit for the work that you have

done and others deserve the credit for theirs. Self deprecation i.e.

taking no credit is just as much coming from the ego as is bragging

about oneself and taking too much credit. Instead we can just

acknowledge our accomplishments with humility and equanimity.

Love in Amma,

Amalia

Dear Themba,

You did not write the article that was published through the

Amritapuri ashram so any inaccuracies or omissions in it are not

your fault. I have had some experience with the folks who do the

writing for Amma's publications, and, alas, factual accuracy is not

a big focus.

My concern is that people who want to volunteer are clear about how

to communicate that and whom to contact.

I am thrilled about the work you have been able to do in binging

groups of people who have not had outreach from Amma's children to

see Amma. It's a great contribution each time a barrier is broken.

As we all move forward in these new directions, we need to move

forward with care and integrity.

Jai Ma!

dear beloved sister,in whatever this child has done to upset you.please

forgive him..there is so much to focus on that is POSITIVE..its not about

us,its about them....please put your energy on serving them..temba is not

that important....

aikya was with this child when we spoke about all of this..she knows that

temba never took credit for starting circle of love..it was temba that

invited aikya to be interviewed by AMRITA t.v...that is on video tape..and

the film doesnt have an opinion...

AMMAs sun begs for your forgiveness and he bows to AMMA within you..AMMAs

sun repeats aikya was with this child and we actually interviewed

together....AMMAs sun invited her to be interviewed..if he wanted all the

credit ,then why would he have invited her to be on film with him...

dear sister please research this so that you can free yourself of this

challenge..love you

it is equally important for people to know that AMMAs sun invited you to be

interviewed by AMRITA t.v..there are some who seem to think that this chilld

wanted credit for the founding of circle of love..

aikya ,it is so important that you have transnceded all of this..again it is

just as important to expresss that temba wants no titlles nor credit..

now that we haev moved passed this.....IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS

SOMETHING POSITIVE TO SAY ABOUT AMMA given us the okay to move forward in

our efforts to build a HOME(CENTER) for HER homelss children..enough about

all this other selfish stuff.

lets place our attention there.this is HER VISION not tembas.....lets all

bow to that!love you

dear sister please allow this child to continue..as the momentum picked up

and we got closer to AMMAs coming, devotees began emailing this child and he

was appraoched by AMRITA t.v..temba never cared about the t.v stuff, however

he figured that it would maybe inspire devotees in america to take a

stronger concern for the destitute and suffering write here in

america.....have you been through the streets of san francisco lateley? the

streets are pervaded weith AMMAs homeless children and they fill like the

world does not care..AMMAs sun hoped that the media coverage would help

increase this awareness..

dear brothers and sisters,

bowing down to the ONE divinity within all of us,

where there are no disagreements,

setting the records straight,

"facts", and other non-essentials,

most of us do not know the exact details and chronology

of who did what and when and for what reasons?

and, imho, it's not necessary

from what i read it was clear that aikya and temba and MANY OTHERS

UNNAMED were and are involved to various degrees at various times in

this beautiful seva called COLI; as well as other seva

that's enough! it inspired me and my partner to do something locally

which we can handle by Amma's Grace

i don't even want to mention it for fear of nonsensical criticim

my humble advice: if we really want to, we can all find someway to

help others unselfishly without relying on the organization

to help organizationally, one needs quite a bit of self-sacrifice,

strenght and other talents( including being able to get along with

all types of EGOS ) that some of us may not have; I bow down to all

those doing organizatioanl SEVA and making it possible for so many(

including all of us ) to have met Amma, etc

PEACE and LOVE !

amma bless,

amarnath

Hi Themba. Yes, devotees. I saw Themba in the bookstore and he said

he had just been interviewed for Amrita-TV. He asked if I would

like to be interviewed. I will do whatever I can to help my beloed

Circle of Love Inside grown and thrive so I said yes.

We hiked up the hill to the ashram Main House. Hey, I was proud of

myself that I could get up that hill! I never walked up that hill

before and, of course, I took the hardest trail. I've been doing

yoga and walking around Lake Merrit every week now for several

months. Yay! Yoga's working! (Listen, we each have our small

delights!)

Anyway there was a little waiting but I was interviewed and Themba

and I were interviewed together as well. We each even got to sing a

song. These were magic moments when everything works perfectly.

That article was not a moment in which everything worked

perfectly. Whatever could be done about correcting

miscommunications has been done.

Moving on...

Aikya
