When my trial begins, I will say it all and more in the court. They are inter-related. There are many reasons, you come to court." CNN-IBN Posted Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 15:06 Updated Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 18:43 Email Print Mumbai: Pravin Mahajan, accused of killing his brother Pramod Mahajan, on Wednesday said the BJP leader's death and his son Rahul's arrest in a drug case were inter-related. He claimed clues for both cases can be found in the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai and the Apollo Hospital in Delhi. "They (the two incidents) are related, and the Delhi and the Mumbai Police should coordinate with each other. The keys are in Hindujas (where Pramod died). If Apollo (Hospital where Rahul's reports were allegedly fudged) can do that...then Hindujas," he said. "Rahul has been made a scapegoat. I had told his parents to be careful with him. He's a very good boy; it's his birthday next month. I'm willing to serve his sentence," Pravin said. He also said that the Mahajan family was being held to ransom by "tentwallahs", a reference to Pramod's aide Sudhanshu Mittal. Former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee knew about this. "The family is being held ransom by the tentwallahs and Atal Behariji owes an explanation to the nation," he said. "This has been happening for the past five-six years. He owes an explanation to the nation. Why is he skirting it? It is not a family tragedy but a national tragedy. It has happened in a ministerial bungalow. The Prime Minister stays nearby. Did the former PM know about it? If he did, what did he do? If he did not know, what was he doing in six years of rule?" Pravin asked. Pravin blamed Pramod for "spoiling" Rahul. "His father did not inculcate good habits in him, he (Rahul) was made a sacrificial goat. I had told his father and bhaabi (Rahul's mother) to make him fall in line." he said. Asked whether he regretted killing his brother, Pravin said, "I have not done anything. When my trial begins, I will say it all and more in the court. They are inter-related. There are many reasons, you come to court." Pravin, whose plea to undergo psychiatric tests was rejected by a local court on Wednesday, has denied that the killed his brother in a fit of rage. Meanwhile, a local court extended Pravin's judicial custody till June 28. The magistrate noted that there were no grounds to show that Pravin was mentally unstable. The magistrate also rejected Pravin's plea seeking court's supervision in the the investigation. Pravin had alleged that the investigation was "one-sided". The court observed that the probe was done properly and and there was no reason to believe that the investigating agency used any "pressure tactics". The court also rejected Pravin's plea to meet his relatives for 15 minutes' outside the court. This is the third time when the court has rejected Pravin's plea to hold psychiatric tests. http://www.ibnlive.com/news/pravin-spins-conspiracy-theory/12983- 3.html
