It was a similar effect to seeing heat rise from a black top highway. Amma & the surrouding area sort of shimmered in waves, as it began to fade. Ananthasree's Amma's Children website describes a similar experience. Only Amma completely vanished before her eyes, & Kali's form replaced Amma's.
