Can an exalted Sun participate in A VRY i the eigth

house in Aries as the lord of the 12th, and if so will

the results be weak because it is exalted. The Sun is

in Conjunction with the Ascendant Lord and Mercury

that is Combust and Rahu as the lord of 6th Pisces.

According to all the books the planets in VRY need to

be debilitated thus the question. Also is a Combust

mercury different than debilitated Mecury or is a

combust Mercury cosidered a debilitated Mecury.Thanks

Uttar Kalamrata defines VRY being involvement of 6/8/12 lords in 6/8/12 houses (without any association of any other planet) and these planets must be weak.

 

In elaborated article on VRY, Sanjay ji jas included lord of 3rd as well into VRY, while he has not changed the other conditions. Yes, in VRY forming in other houses (where it transfers powers to AL), there are few more factors added.

 

Uttarkalamrata is the only reference material on VRY; and it asks for very rigid condition. Accordingly, partial VRY can be a good placement but not VRY.

 

In my experience of VRY (march 8, 1967; 17.40 IST; Jodhpur - India 26N17 / 73E04) - it gave me results, where most people (in the competitive occupation) failed and more than the efforts involved, in the mutal dashas of VRY.

Small calrification required. Does the karka gets destroyed of any other planet engaged or of the planets involved in (i.e. 3/6/8/12 lords per modified definition as given by Sanjay ji). OR the evil effects of 3/6/8/12 bhavas gets destroyed (that is how VRY is formed).

Dear Prafulla,

 

Good question. Malefic bhava is destroyed favoring You, but the conjunction of benefic destroy the things signified by benefic but this moment of Yoga will not favour You. So the bhavas of dushtana are afflicted giving You rise while the karaka destruction can be against You - sacrifice. It is also when Sani is debilitated in Taurus Lagna - it will give rajayoga but when its Yuti Jupiter it can kill the child - this is example given by Sanjay Ji.

Dear Rafal ji

 

VRY has been under close reading by me (for various case studies undertaken for it)..and perhaps, for my chart..no yoga except VRY - 3rd lord in 8th / 6th lord in 8th / 8th lord in 12th / 12th lord in 6th.

 

I understand the very basis of yoga i.e destruction of Dustasthna houses. Now, as you clarified - planet's natural significations may also destroy in the process. I mean to ask, if the "planets" referred means - the other planet (not 3/6/8/12 lords) positioned in 6/8/12 (which is understandable for their positioning in 6/8/12); or even of the planets involving in VRY (i mean lords of 3/6/8/12).

 

Role of 3rd lord in VRY is sort of unclear to me. If it is placed in 8th then, it should harm 3rd house more (for its 6/8 positioning), than causing VRY.

 

The example quoted by you, wherein Jupiter caused the loss of children. Might be jupiter is weak in D9 or D7.

In my chart too - for VRY - jupiter / venus / moon / saturn involved. Their natural karkatva destruction means - nothing is left so far. On the contrary, (with the god's grace) - all have prospered (so far good children, wife, education, learning, knowledge, mother etc) without any delay; alongwith the benefits of VRY...... Read this with destruction of karaka theory (as I sought clarification for).

 

Even in few more cases, on VRY - I did not find the destruction of karkatav of planets engaged in VRY (i.e. 6/8/12 lords)..until now, I did not consider lord of 3rd into VRY. and to an large extent, I did not consider my chart as example of VRY.

 

Also, when you refer benefic - you mean somya planet or shubha planet (as defined in functional role per lagna)?
