Guest guest
dear shiv bhakts om namo bhagawate rudraya this year even before the official date of first darshan of 11th june, more than one lakh people have already visited the holy cave over the last two weeks through the short cut baltal route notwithstanding bad weather. the main pahalgam route has been closed for the past several days due to heavy snowfall at seshnag and mahaganesh top. however, for the first time in the amarnath history, the authorities have created an artificial (man made) shivling of around 10 feet atop the natural small shivling, apparently to make the visitors happy seeing a large shivling instead of the natural shivling formed with rock like ice whose real height this year is only a feet or two. this height keep varying every year. true shiv bhakts who visit amarnath every year like me felt sad about this artificial intelligence but in kaliyug these are expected and we shall have the satisfaction of visiting the holy cave having a glimpse of the natural shivling instead of this artificial shivling. since for the first time, this yatra is allowed for two months, more than a million are expected to visit amarnath this year notwithstanding heavy snowfall and bad weather. it was heartening to note the religious fervour with which infants, small children and old and sick people are visiting this shrine in large numbers. even handicapped people without legs and blind people have also been found performing this most difficult pilgrimage in india by foot. however, also for the first time, the authorities are not allowing any photographs to be taken in the holy cave and hence i could not capture any images of the shivling. i prayed to lord amarnath to bless all shiv bhakts in fulfilling their desires. in praise of lord shiva and with best wishes pandit arjun
