Seattle with Amma

I have been back since the program ended last week and am still Amma-

struck... on having spent time with Amma,-which often defies

description. Trying to get things done around the house...I instead

am spending time on COL and listening to bhajans...

I was able to do a lot of seva that I love doing-line entry,

greeting and helping at the stairs on Devi Bhava. I don't know quite

how that happened! But it was great. The Seattle Satsang was awesome

to be with-they are so loving, generous in spirit and no power trips.

They were so joyful to be around.

And being with Amma....we had a meditation with Amma during the

retreat-outside. I was standing and watching and here She comes in

the car. The window was down and She kind of stopped, right there,

in front of me. I had the impulse to run to Her, right up to the car

but didn't. Then they drove on to park further away. Now I think She

stopped and I missed a golden chance....

All the Swamis gave beautiful talks. I attended the IAM refresher-

which I highly recommend,- to brush up so to speak. When Swami

Dayamrita was talking, someone asked, should we do IAM or sit with

Amma as much as possible? If we have to choose, which is it? He said

definitely sit with Amma and do IAM mentally while sitting with Her.

Suddenly I had an uncontrollable urge to be with Amma. We had

finished the refresher part and I immediately got up and left. As I

went I could smell Amma's divine fragrance. Then the wind was

blowing and it felt like She was beckoning me to Her. I walked into

the hall and She looked over. I just KNEW that I was supposed to

hurry back. I cannot explain it any further than that.

I was sitting at table as I need a chair due to a back injury. Then

I saw Amma looking and I realized She wanted the tables all pushed

back. Right after that, She ordered more room in the hall and for

the tables to be pushed back.

I asked Swami Dayamrita, again, how many dimensions does Amma say

exist? He said Amma says that there are nine. NINE! good grief! We

had a discussion on ghosts due to an experience I had. I have had

them before, lurking around my house. Boy do I sound nuts or what?

Transparent!! LOL...Anyway, he said they are everywhere and you

become used to them being around. Eventually you don't notice them.

Amma says that they cannot hurt you. But it can be incredibly

frightening. They are like butterflies and have no impact on you.

The talks were available on a CD in the bookstore. I forgot to pick

one up. They were so great and I wish I had gotten one. Maybe I can

get them in another tour city.

Namah Shivaya Adrianne,

Thank you very much for sharing what Amma & Swami Dayamrita said about disembodied spirits. At times I believe I've perceived them, & this helps me to relax about them.
