Guest guest
Fellow members, I wish to bring out misuse of ancient vedic hymns for commercial purposes. You must be familiar with Balaji tv, producers of TV serials like saas bhi bahu thi etc.Ironically it uses many vedic hymns like namami shamishan nirvan rupam and ganesh ji aarthi as back ground music of any stupid scene.Nowadays, it uses gita shlokas as back ground music for very stupid scenerio.May I request you all to oppose this thing. Guest guest
Namaste, Many, if not most of the members, are from the west (USA & Europe largely) so are not aware of such things taking place in India. Adding further to the irony is that often when there is a misuse of traditional Hindu images in the west (and to a lesser degree texts and music) there is often quite strong response from Hindu camps, who are becoming increasingly vocal. Probably the most recent high profile example is the matter of text books in California. Much of the material was from a western (i.e. Christain-Judeo) bias. Another relatively recent example was the use of Hindu images (if memory serves me I think it was Lord Rama) on shoes.
